Midwest analyst Josh Helmholdt dropped this nugget a little while back, but UNC offered Michigan running back Matt Falcon recently and he's giving the Heels serious consideration. He lived in Fayetteville and then Winston-Salem growing up, coming from a military family, but he left the state when he was young.
Now that UNC has offered Falcon wants to return although it will be a matter of finding the time and the logistics to make a long trip like that happen.
Some will say it's interesting to see more non-local RB offers going out, but everyone casts a wide net and keeps their options open these days.
Falcon doesn't seem too connected to the state so I wouldn't overplay that angle. He did attend camp last year and had been in touch with the UNC coaches on and off since then.
