Just returned from a long weekend in NOLA and for those who may never been there here is a bit of advice...……. JUST GO!!!!!!!!!!!!! Except for the absolute egg that my redskins laid on MNF this is a must see place. Some of the friendliest people on the planet and of course the food, drink and ambience is second to none. It is a Big city that you can get around in easily. BTW go see the WW2 museum ...a MUST!! My brother and I spent 4 hours there and only saw 1/2 of it.

New Orleans is like no other city in America and I will be returning as soon as I can!!

I was there last winter for the CBS Sports Classic game against OSU. I had never been before.

It's a bit of a poor man's (literally) Las Vegas, but I had a lot of fun as well.

What on earth does that mean? Because I'm struggling to find any comparison whatsoever. How is New Orleans in any way like Vegas?

The gambling, the ability to walk down the street with an open container of booze, the encouragement to engage in debauchery. I see a lot of similarities.

Now, its the poor man's version because no one there actually has any money and it's dirty as fukk.

Uh, ok. I guess those are indeed similarities. But you have to understand my confusion. New Orleans is often compared to Charleston, SC or Savannah, GA. You know, because of the location, the cultures, the food, the charm, the history, shipping industry, etc. You might be the first person ever to have characterized those two cities as "similar".

If Charleston and Savannah are dirty, then ya.

I was comparing it to other nation-wide tourist destinations though.

Stop being a dick, Dick.

I did get to the game and it was mess for the Redskins , just looked flat and completely outplayed. Like so many games under Gruden they did not look ready to play and this was after a 12 day layoff

I can honestly say that the Superdome with those passionate crazy but friendly saints fans was the LOUDEST arena I have ever been in. I Just had to cover my ears for most of the game as the saints destroyed the Skins.
