New Sweet Sixteen Kicks...

They look like my hand-decorated Chuck's.

Oh the idiots are out in full force, lol. The twittershpere responses have run the gamut.

I don't think the NCAA will say anything but the fashion police are going to make some arrests on account of those hideous things. But if the Heels win in them, I guess I could learn to like them...or at least look the other way.

Hideous looking shoes. I wouldn't let my team out in public in those thing, but with all the big show contracts, I suppose Nike calls the shots.

That 54 must be the year you were born, because i can assure you anyone under the age of 30 would pay big money for these shoes. They are HOT! Btw strum how did you get those chucks?

I weep for our future.

Agreed. Those shoes are sick. I'd like a pair please!

For those asking about my Chuck Taylors; I just bought a new, plain pair of size 12, light blue Chuck Taylor's. I traced-out the pattern design from a photo I printed-off. Then I used fabric paint pens to fill it all in and make it look good. You have to get the pattern the right size.

Funny thing; I have worn them out a lot and only a few people ask "Where did you buy those, man! They are bad-ass!" Maybe because it's Clemson! I went to Minneapolis a few times to visit my brother and his family and people in the airport have asked me once or twice! As brash as they look when you see them by themselves, it's not something many people focus on in public. I guess it's like in the Shawshank Redemption: "I mean, really, how often do you look at a man's shoes?"

I've decorated a lot of my plain ash sweatshirts and hoodies with the older logos and images because I can't find the vintage stuff my size on eBay. I had some really cool shirts and sweatshirts in grade-school. Every homeroom class picture has me in a UNC shirt of some kind! I even made my Pinewood Derby Cub Scout car a Tar Heel theme!

Ok, now I'm just downright jealous that I didn't think of that when I was building my Pinewood Derby cars!!

You may have inspired me to go to the craft store looking for fabric pens so I can try my hand at it....

I made a UVa guitar for a buddy of mine. No pics, though.

I wonder what DES would think of these smh
He would try to be nice, but he would be thinking that such part-7th grade girl and part-gay disco and part-Andy Warhol art class footwear should not be worn by a basketball team.
