The specifics of the 9 wins matter immensely, so much so that 9 wins could have been a very good sign. How? Well, any time you close with 4 consecutive losses, the season feels awful and the future is questionable or worse. And then there is the all important matter of whom you beat. If our 9 Ws included no Sunbelt terms and instead Ws over SEC teams SoCar and UK, then that would have been a very good 9 win year, because beating 2 SEC bowl teams is huge. Even when Neither of them is Bama or LSU or UGA or Florida.

The first step is to win the games you should win, something we haven't done since the 90's, then worry about upsets. If you start winning all those games, then you can easily build a program and those upset wins become easier.
Good lord you people are hopeless. I show how 9 wins could have been enough, and you respond like a robot. Why don't just go back and dredge up that thread about how crazy or ignorant I must be to have opposed Dre Bly being hired. You know, if you have paid attention, you will know virtually every warning I gave about Mack has come true.
I hope Im wrong but I just dont have faith in the coaching staff. Nothing Ive seen the past 4 years gives me much hope for this team. I see a 5-7 season. Dont see any way we can equal or top 9 wins.

I think Drake can get us to six. If the defense can improve to kinda bad (60-70 range) instead of embarrassing, that should get us a couple more wins. Tall order for the D, but not impossible.
There's no reason to believe the D will be any better... So that puts almost every game into a shoot-out no matter how good Maye is.
I wouldn't say no reason. A lot of new players and supposedly some locker room issues are gone. Plus some new analyst to help the coaches out. And I can't imagine it would be worse. It might improve just because it's hard to be that bad.
I expect the defense to be better because there’s nowhere to go but up and Bly is gone. Our LB’s and DB’s should improve, will we see improvement from the DL? There is no excuse for our defense to be as bad as it was last year. None. I imagine our offense is going to have to carry us once again.
Since all that stuff is in the past, Id like to know what were some of the issues with players and/or staff? What was the issues with those players/staff? Who were some of the problem people? Id just like to know because Im interested/nosey.
From what I've heard, Grimes was one of the problems in the locker room. I don't have any inside info, that just seems to be something I've read in multiple places.
