1. UNC should have won the game
2. No moral victories. gamecocks are not that good!!
3. Is Marquise at 100%? He didn't seem like he was running like he has in the past.
Doesn't excuse poor throws. He did make a couple of good plays.
4. Start of the second half, we go for it on 3rd and 1 and get a bad spot. Why no
measurement? We go for it on 4th and 1 and get a bad spot. Why again
is there no measurement?? We even challenged and didn't get a measurement.
5. Defense played pretty well. Only gave up a few plays and couldn't stop their
runs to the right. Only gave up 17 points with the cocks getting short field on
a couple of occasions.
6. Hood is a stud. Bug Howard is stronger. Our offense, with those two, Switzer,
Q. Davis, etc. should score more than 13 points against a mediocre cock defense.
7. We finally have a field goal kicker not named Barth!!
8. Our red zone play calling/execution was a failure. Even the TD pass was tipped!
9. I hate the ole ball sack coach!! His arrogance hasn't changed since he was
slumming over in Durham.
10. Our O Line is pretty good. They made Hood look good and he made them look good.

I have tried to stay optimistic about UNC football, but they have not really won a big
game in a long time!!

MW was not supposed to run much last night. If he runs, there is no need fro Hood to be a 2nd large power runner. The problem with MW is that the 1 and only thing he does well is run between the tackles with power.

You want to both use Hood and our WRs fully? Bench MW.

My question is why did we agree to play this game in Charlotte? Two years ago when we played them it was in their house. I understand there is some desire to make this an annual game in Charlotte and that's fine, but we were due a home game with SC, not a game at what was essentially a neutral site. From the shots of the crowd I saw it seemed like the fan base was split 50-50. Also, the stadium was no where near full. I have been seeing Groupon ads for the prior two weeks offering tickets to the game at discounted prices. If it had been played at UNC the place would have been packed with students and people in the area who have to go to work the next and can't make a jaunt to Charlotte on a Thursday. If it was somehow for recruiting purposes in the western part of the state well you damn sure better make sure you win the game. Clemson and SC has been poaching that area for years and losing a winnable game will in no way staunch the exodus.

Didn't owe you a home game.......first game in this series was played in Kenan in 2007.

Charlotte with the Belk Bowl wants to become to CFB what Atlanta with the Peach/Chik-fil-a became: the top non-Major bowl. So Charlotte wants to host a neutral season opener.

Here are observations I have just had looking at other sites.

1. Fans of other schools who saw the game range from saying that MW is awful to he is a choke artist. They cannot imagine why the play calls were what they were or why no back up QB was given a shot.

2. UNC fans are coming around to seeing what I have said about MW all along: he has but 1 skill, and he has a sense of entitlement.

I like the game in Charlotte just wish tic prices were more reasonable and a "sane" starting time.

Jesse Palmer said during the game that MW runs hot and cold at QB.
His mid range throws were pretty good, his deep ball was non-existent,
short passes were inconsistent, red zone decisions were inexcusable for
a senior QB with plenty of experience. He showed little scrambling ability
last night which I think has been one of his strengths in the past. Can't help
but think he is not 100% healed from the hip surgery.

This team no doubt has a future NFL star in #34. I've always been a fan of Quise but last night made it very clear that this offense needs a QB who can deliver the football consistently much more than it needs another running threat between the tackles.

This game should have been a blow out. I think it would've been if you play Mitch and give the ball to #34 in the red zone. That being said, Quise was our guy in the red zone last year. For Fed to call his number isn't really surprising, and you can't blame the coaches for Quise throwing the ball straight to a defender. But if you can't trust your senior QB not to throw a pick in the end zone then he shouldn't be your QB. Quise should have tucked those balls and gotten down to the 2-3 yard line at worst.

This football team is way better than most expected. Now the coaches need to step up and help them out.

MW needs to be benched. His game management skills suck, his attitude sucks and his overall throwing sucks. That is 4 straight horrible games by him with no improvement.
