...not a bad starting point following the bad streak. Lots to play for in the next 3 weeks.
They've earned it so far.Auburn the 1st 2? Are they really that good? Wb Cincy? Any signature wins?
Look at their schedule. They have only beaten Tennessee. Got killed by Temple(unranked)lost to Texas A&M(unranked at home) lost to ALABAMA (unranked). Not much to brag about with weak wins over Norfolk St., Indiana St., Hofstra, Winthrop, Dayton, G. Mason, Vanderbilt, Ms. State, Georgia, UAB, M. Tenn., Murray St., UCon, Cornell, and Mississippi. Other than Tennessee, where exactly has a 2 seed been earned? They've earned it so far.

I' not trying to start shit here but if that schedule should get them a 2 seed then there is no way in hell the Heels should be a 3.In Gary’s mind
...nor have IKansas has beaten 1 yes 1 team in the Top 25 right now which was WVU who is currently 19 and they have 6 losses which is one less than us who have beaten 5 ranked teams. I never understand the love affair the committee has with them
They're in first place in what has become a decent conference and they have 3 losses total. They're playing tougher competition might in and might out than say. Nova.Look at their schedule. Maybe it's just bad teams beating up on bad teamsThey're in first place in what has become a decent conference and they have 3 losses total. They're playing tougher competition might in and might out than say. Nova.
The conference is not quite as good as some make it out to be but it's WAY better than previous seasons. They'll likely get 8 teams in. And Auburn had early losses as they were finding an identity then reeled off a bunch in a row... the last loss was without their leading scorer. They are an undersized but very dangerous team that can light it up from 3Maybe it's just bad teams beating up on bad teams
Complete List:
East Region:
1: Nova, 2: Duke, 3: Texas Tech, 4: Ohio State
South Region:
1: Virginia, 2: Cincinnati, 3: Michigan State, 4: Tennessee
West Region:
1: Purdue, 2: Kansas, 3: UNC, 4: Arizona
Midwest Region:
1: Xavier, 2: Auburn, 3: Clemson, 4: Oklahoma
The Committee's love of trying to match us against Kansas just seems to never cease.
Speaking of Clemson, they are obviously having a great year. Which puts the home win to preserve the streak even more incredible.
For real. That mess needs to go away.Complete List:

I’d be happy as long as we don’t have Nova or Mich St in our bracket honestlyI would love for this team to take Clemson place in the Midwest...
I doubt anyone thinks we are underseeded at this point, but the matchup shenanigans they have done to us in the past are hard to ignore. You guys don't seriously think the committee is biased against UNC do you? Come on, give me a break. We're fairly seeded for now.
For real. That mess needs to go away.
And damn, MSU is an awfully tough 3 seed.
I think a 3 seed is about right at this point. But there's no denying that they match us up against KU every chance they get, just because Roy coached there. That's bullshit! You guys don't seriously think the committee is biased against UNC do you? Come on, give me a break. We're fairly seeded for now.
Why though? I don't think Kansas is better than any of the other two seeds. In fact, I think Duke is unquestionably better, and the other two might be too. So why does it matter if we play Kansas or one of the others?I think a 3 seed is about right at this point. You've answered your own question. If they can get a matchup with a good storyline that doesn't seem flat out ridiculous (like putting UNC, duke, UK and KU in the same bracket) they are going to do it more often than not. It's just good business to do so.I wouldn't doubt that TV ratings play into it

I'm waiting to see if they'll stack a K vs Hurley matchup this time...You've answered your own question. Given how Roy has performed against KU and the fact that it's not really a good story line at this point is what aggravates many people here. No one is really that upset about the seeding, just the placement. Why though? I don't think Kansas is better than any of the other two seeds. What's more unfortunate in my eyes is getting shipped cross country into the West bracket. That's because of bracketing rules though, as top four seeded teams in the same conference can't be put in the same bracket. So whoever ends up fourth amongst the ACC teams will land out west. Not sure why they put Kansas there, perhaps to balance the brackets more (if they saw one of the #2 seeds as better than the others). I wouldn't doubt that TV ratings play into it when things are close, but since I don't see Kansas as particularly better, I have no problem with it.
Bingo. The NCAA claims otherwise, but they are notorious for pre-stacking match-ups that might make compelling TV for other than basketball reasons. I get it, but after a while it gets to the point of monkeying with stuff too much and distracting the participants from the task at hand.Given how Roy has performed against KU and the fact that it's not really a good story line at this point is what aggravates many people here. And Purdue is an awfully weak 1 seed after losing twice this past week.
BTW, I'd be thrilled with Purdue as the 1 and Kansas as the 2 in our region. Work in progress...
