1) This team will toughen up and play an entire game, not just one half or
2) They will continue to play like they did tonight and disappoint us all come March.

I can't imagine who else we would have as a coach and I can't imagine what the program would look like had Roy not come when he did, but I'll be damned if I can figure out tonight's game from a coaching standpoint. The last play notwithstanding, why would you not keep pounding it inside to our big guys? We had every advantage inside and it worked the first half to a T. Brice owned the paint tonight in the first half and then we all of a sudden stopped doing anything inside. Even when Dumblee got 4 fouls it was like we ran away from the guy and he certainly didn't stop playing aggressive.

Then not calling a single timeout to refocus the team? Not once to say: "Hey, guys, let's get back to what got us here in the first half".

I just can't wrap my head around this game or how it all went down. I am not giving up, but I have to say I am not nearly as excited about watching the rest of the season now. And we enter a pretty dang tough stretch now on the ropes. You better believe Miami will be licking their chops.

I gotta go to bed and hope this nightmare gets better soon.

Have we ever seen this group "toughen up"?

Unless it's blind faith, I question why anyone would expect it. This core annually lost 10+ games... We're probably going to be around that mark. This is who they are.

And, it won't get any better, either. If anything, it will get worse. Williams can't teac toughness, never has. Some players HAD toughness- Hansbrough. But, Williams doesn't coach toughness... or, if he does, he doesn't coach it well, because I've not seen tough, determined, resolved TEAMS in 7 years.

His time is up. I wouldn't expect any miracles once he's gone either.

When you lose a close game you felt you dominated on the final seconds... your team tends to collapse afterwards.

I think they are just hoping , praying and fantasizing that we toughen up odds are slim to none..

This team has never been tough or had killer instinct. Not going to chance now.
If UNC can't beat dook this year at home when will they.
