Here's something all boaters can help with, whether you're a sailor, kayaker, fisherman, etc.

This app is using a crowdsourcing approach to collect data about how people use their boats. Future updates to the app will use the data to give relevant info back to the boaters.

All you do is download the app, take a survey, and then if you choose, allow the app to (anonymously) track waypoints from your future boat trips.

Why not golf on the boat? Two birds, one stone type of thing.

I really like the concept behind this app. Could be groundbreaking as a tool to improve boating safety. As a kayaker, though, a big part of the reason I get on the water is to disconnect. Might be more useful as a trip-planning tool than a real-time incident reporting system, at least for me personally. Have to check it out.
