OOTB Carolina Basketball Discussion Thread

By the way, I think the Leader of Men made a huge tactical error early in the 2nd by putting Bagley, Carter, and Bolden on the floor at the same time. No doubt he thought the size advantage would work to their favor but I'm almost certain UNC was able to handily win the +/- with that lineup. Will confirm tomorrow after I've had fewer beers.

From the dook games I've watched this season, Bolden had more PT in this game than any other I can recall.

I really can't think of a reason you shouldn't.

Many of you won't care, but here is how this Dukie now feels about Duke vs. UNCheat games:

The Cheats have ruined The Rivalry for me.

I used to think it the best rivalry in all of sports. Like most folks, I used to think it was a clash of two worthy, great, and deserving programs going head to head. Now we know it was all a sham. Further, given the fact that UNCheat has expressed zero remorse and paid no penalties for 20 years of cheating, I have no doubt that the scam continues in a better concealed form now. They have proved cheating and a disgusting sense of arrogant entitlement is in their DNA. Why stop cheating if the supposed watchdog regulatory organizations are not willing to take meaningful action?

So I go a step further: I no longer watch UNCheat games, even when they play Duke.

I refuse to participate, even passively as an member of the TV audience, in a pantomime in which ideas of fair competition, sportsmanship, and honor are just held up to disguise the rotten nature of a corrupt, unethical school which mocks the very idea of fairness.

I DVR the damn thing now. While the game is going on, I do something enjoyable and spend time with my family. I check the next morning if we won or not. If the good guys won, I will watch and enjoy the replay. If the Cheats win, I hit delete. No sense watching the dishonorable continue to prosper from and enjoy the benefits of their cheating ways and institutional deviousness.

Watching cheaters win a sham show masquerading as a fair competition as if that school actually values good sportsmanship and fair play ( ha !) is a waste of my time. I will never get the 20-plus years of watching bogus UNCheat games back, but I can sure as hell avoid flushing any more of my time and energy down that particular toilet.

I know some will disagree with me, but that's how I feel. I cheer for my team, pay my Iron Duke dues every year, go watch a few in Cameron every year, and watch every other Duke game I can, but not this one.

The Cheats ruined it. They ruined the greatest rivalry in sports. For that alone, they deserve to burn in eternal Hell fire with Satan's 5,000-degree-centigrade chode in every orifice. Same for their dimwit, mouth-breathing fans. Swoffy and Emmert too.

Not sure who this is about.

While I kind of agree these are also kids. They retweet everything. Still, this is kind of the deal when you pull in some of these guys.

You failed to mention this was poasted on PackPride, which multiplies its absurdity tenfold.

Also, how is it possible after what has happened at UNC, Michigan State, Penn State, Louisville, etc. for anyone to think their team is above reproach? I'd also be willing to bet this loser has never taken a single class at dook.

Heels tie a school record for fewest turnovers with 2. The last time we did it was in NCAA tourney vs. Fairfield. It’s really amazing in a game like this that we only had two. And I don’t think either one allowed a run-out by dook.
