Since Dickey's is moving on, I am happy to participate in this important and well run restaurant tournament. I applaud @TarHeelNation11 's hard work. He has shown he has the chops to make hard decisions when needed.

PF Chang's - it's a "bistro" and "bistros" are fancy. So I'm voting for Chang's. Although, if I have to eat fast food, Wendy's would probably be my choice.

Chili's - If for no other reason, I use to dig that little jingle they had in their commercials - "baaaby back ribs....barbecue saaauuce." Now you'll all have that stuck in your head today.

Cook Out - I have Cook Out and Dickey's in the final in my office pool.

Five Guys - the next round match up between Cook Out and Five Guys will be a doozie.

I like Wendy's as far as fast-food places or restaurants with drive-thrus go. It's a good place to grab a quick bite on the cheap. However, it's no match for P.F. Chang's, which has a sizable menu with some damn tasty options. I've never had anything there that I didn't enjoy.

#5 Pizza Hut vs. #4 Chili's Grill & Bar
I've already expressed my feelings about why Pizza Hut is trash. Chili's isn't my favorite place on earth, but they've got some pretty good dishes and their chips and salsa is surprisingly good.

#11 Waffle House vs. #3 Cook Out
Tough call here. Two places with subpar food that somehow always seems to hit the spot. In the end, I'm giving the nod to Waffle House based on the breakfast factor and their role as weather forecaster.

Again, Five Guys is good but overrated. Fried burgers just aren't as good as properly grilled burgers. Domino's is tops among chain pizza places, and if you haven't tried their specialty chicken you should. Like I said, I could've gone either way with WH vs. Cook Out. It's worth noting however, that Cook Out will give you a main item, plus another main item, plus another main item, plus a ginormous beverage for like $5. [whispering] That's because their food isn't very good. [/whispering]

It is indeed overpriced. But the burgers bang like a Ron Jeremy scene. Being able to put all the extras on (lettuce, tomato, onion - carmelized even - pickles, japs, mushrooms, bacon, etc) make it legendary.

-- Wendy's wins this one by 45 points. Wendy's is the king of kings of fast food burgers. The Bacanotor is amazing. A lot of their other, non-burger offerings are very strong as well, such as the Spicy Chicken Sandwich, the Asiago Ranch Chicken Sandwich, the chicken nuggets (so good, omg), the salads, etc.

#5 Pizza Hut vs. #4 Chili's Grill & Bar
-- Pizza Hut is complete trash. Chili's wins for not being Pizza Hut. And for their Cajun chicken pasta

#11 Waffle House vs. #3 Cook Out
-- this one is a bit tough for me, but you have to go Waffle House. Cook Out is cheap because the quality is just okay and the portions are tiny. Don't get me wrong, I do eat my fair share of Cook Out, but I have to go with Waffle House. I can get a huge T-Bone steak and/or fried eggs and/or a Texas melt, and/or hashbrowns all in the same location, and WaHo actually uses fairly fresh/healthy ingredients (Sunbeam white bread, for instance).

-- Domino's is the Carolina Basketball of pizza delivery chains.

It's not like I get steak at WaHo every time. I've maybe gotten steak 2% of the total times I've ever been there. Generally it's hashbrowns (covered, chunked, and peppered) and either a Texas melt or a sausage, egg, and cheese grits bowl.

Several of Waffle House's entrees are under 500 calories. Most chain restaurants can't say that. Obvs, if you get a Texas melt or something like that, your calorie amount is going to soar. But in general, WaHo uses fresh ingredients. Fresh ingredients doesn't always = low calories. See: food, Italian.

Waffle is ****ing awful. Ok maybe I'm too hard on them but the ONLY times I've ever eaten there (maybe 4-5) I was ****ed up. But not too ****ed up to notice how nasty the floors,tables,silverware were. Also I went to school w a cook there from years past. He was a serial nose picker.
