Three rounds down, Three to go! Only eight teams remain in our OOTB tournament! Things have been heated, there have been surprises, and now with a Final Four berth on the line, we will find out the regional winners! You have until Sunday at midnight to vote in two threads. This one will feature Drama and Miscellaneous, because those two will be facing off in the Final Four, and the other will feature Comedy and Animation, because those will be facing off in the Final Four. Let's get to it!

COMEDY REGION
#3 seed The Office

#4 seed Cheers

The only region to feature neither the #1 or #2 seed in the regional final is still loaded with some heavy hitters. Both feature strong ensembles that most shows would be envious of. Steve Carell is the undisputed MVP of The Office, but John Krasinski, Rainn Wilson, Ed Helms, and Jenna Fischer fill out a solid starting five. Cheers has tons of depth, with Ted Danson, Kelsey Grammar, Woody Harrelson, John Ratzenberger, George Wendt, Rhea Perlman, Kirstie Alley, Shelley Long, and Nicholas Colasanto providing the laughs. This is a really tough one because I love both.
I'm going to have to make a pick based on a little nitpicky sort of reason, but I'm voting for The Office because I've seen all the episodes but am currently catching up on Cheers on Netflix.

ANIMATION REGION
#1 seed Looney Tunes

#2 seed The Simpsons

So far Looney Tunes has breezed through the competition, with no real contender to challenge it. The Simpsons had to claw into this round after a pretty easy first two rounds. Who will come out on top? Homer or Bugs? Bart or Daffy? Lisa or Porky? Marge or Roadrunner? Maggie or Tweety?
This one sucks that there has to be a loser, but I'm going with my gut here, and that says Looney Tunes.

-Going with Cheers for this matchup. Both shows are good, but I like the cast of Cheers a little better than The Office.

-So, this is the worst possible matchup that could have happened. The Tunes or The Simpsons. You can easily make the argument that Bugs was an inspiration for almost every male cartoon character that came after him. He set the standard and is arguably the greatest character of all time. The Simpsons changed the cartoon game as we know it. They proved that you could add depth and storylines to cartoons. Without The Simpsons shows like Family Guy, South Park and Futurama would never exist. This is like a 10 overtime game won on a 3/4 court shot for me and should be the championship game. Because The Simpsons changed the way we look at cartoons and inspired some of the other top cartoons of my generation I'm going to cast my vote for The Simpsons, but I won't be disappointed if they come out on the losing end.

These are tough to choose but I'm going with...

The Office (only because I have a t shirt)

Looney Tunes (because...

Office--I like both and they both have deep casts, so it basically comes down to The Officr has Ellie Kemper and Jenna Fischer.

Looney Tunes (Has stood the test of time and the characters had major roles in Space Jam and Who Framed Roger Rabbit. And they did opera, instilling culture in young minds... Well I don't like opera now, but they tried. Did anyone else that the abominable snowman was patterned after Of Mice and Men's Lennie?)

Ok, voting has closed here. The winners are in bold with the scores next to them, and there are gifs beneath each matchup to highlight the feelings of the winners and losers. Congrats to the shows that will move on!

FYI: I'm going to try to start the Final Four tomorrow, but it might be Wednesday. My hope is to start it tomorrow though, just giving you a head's up.

Can't we just go ahead and name Looney Tunes the winner? It is the most historically significant of any other show still in it and has a far deeper cast than the others. There really isn't a reason a sane person would vote for one of the others.

Seeing as how The Simpsons and Justified have already been eliminated I'm not sure how a sane person could still be expecting sanity to prevail in this contest.

I wouldn't have a problem with Looney Tunes winning this thing. If we step outside of our adult self and look at this objectively it's hard to find a reason to be upset that Looney Tunes would win. You've got young kids, so you should be able to recognize it. I'd be willing to bet that they have a general idea of who bugs bunny and crew is even though he's almost 90 years old.

Well we have seen how guarantees have gone so far in this tournament, so I'd go ahead and prepare yourself. It hasn't had to beat particularly tough competition yet, though, aside from The Simpsons.

No no. The voters still have a few mind boggling votes up their sleeves, I'm sure of it.
