Two rounds have been completed, and a tournament that began with 64 teams has been whittled down to the Sweet 16! We are going to be voting for all four regions from here on out. List all your choices in the matchups, so for this round, you need to pick your favorite in both of the matchups of the region. You will have until midnight on Wednesday to vote in all four threads. I’m going to do a write-up of each matchup in the beginning of each thread including a clip of each show, which will also culminate in my vote for the matchups with a spoiler warning. Lets get to it.

#1 seed Looney Tunes vs.

#4 seed Family Guy

Family Guy is the only show in television history to be cancelled and then brought back by the same network, and once it returned from cancellation, it has been a television mainstay, currently in its 15th season. Looney Tunes has more classic cartoons, characters, and jokes than you can shake a stick at. If Looney Tunes wants to advance, this is the first “adult” cartoon it will have to get past.
I’m going with the Tune Squad, Looney Tunes has my vote
.

#2 seed The Simpsons vs.

#3 seed South Park

We knew this matchup was coming, didn’t we? Springfield vs. South Park. Bartman vs. Cartman. Two of the longest running shows in television, both having enjoyed at least 20 years on the air. Everyone has their favorite moments and characters from these shows, whether it be Treehouse of Horror or “Simpsons did it!” Both of them would be worthy of advancing, but we have to pick one.
I’m going to get a little nitpicky here, but I’m voting for South Park because while The Simpsons can still produce solid episodes now and again, it has been past its prime for about 12 years, while South Park has stayed as relevant and irreverent as ever.

@heelz2345 you're doing a great job with running the contest, but you just had an epic fail with your vote. I can only hope this will be a one time event. Also, I think it's obvious @UNC71-00 is voting for the Simpsons, but he might need to make it official by posting it.

It was a tough call, I'm definitely a fan of both. It's gonna be a tight race

Let me elaborate on that @heelz2345. The numbers you need to know are 32 and 85 vs. 4 and 16. So basically if it came down to a tie breaker the result would look like the 09 UNC championship game.
It looks like that one is coming down to the wire, will some unknown step up a la Luke Maye and surprise us all? 8 hours left. There is one droopy poaster who could turn the tide.

Just so you know, I'm holding you personally responsible for any injustice that might happen. As someone who is supposed to be an expert on all things entertainment, you should know better.

Now you went and made it worse. John McClane would have absolutely nothing to do with south park. Not only have you spit on the Simpsons, but you have now spit on the best Christmas movie of all time.
John McClane's catchphrase features the f word. Based on that, I'd say he'd be a South Park fan.

ETA: Based on Willis' voice work in his career, the shows in this region he would most likely support would be Family Guy, Rugrats, and Beavis and Butthead

Listen, you are all up in my wheelhouse when you talk about Bruce, the Simpsons and Die Hard. These are subjects where I can embarrass you. For your own good I suggest you move along. One question though, did you purposely choose McClane because of his relationship to the Simpsons or was that a coincidence?

It was a happy coincidence, I realized after I poasted about McBane. And I'll take your word that you could embarrass me although I know quite a bit about that trio as well.

Bravo, but I got one more for you. A scene from the Simpsons was shown on the plane in die hard 2. Can you name the episode? It actually ties into another thread on this board.

I couldn't name it off the top of my head, in my defense (although this may not be a good defense) I haven't seen the sequels to Die Hard anywhere near as many times I've seen the original Die Hard, which gets watched at least annually.

Ok, voting has closed here. The winners are in bold with the scores next to them, and there are gifs beneath each matchup to highlight the feelings of the winners and losers. Congrats to the shows that will move on!

No disgrace like home is the name of the episode. The scene they show is the one where they are all shocking each other at Marvin Monroe's office. Classic episode.

Nice, I've seen that one, it is a good one. I need to go rewatch a lot of the early ones, it's been a while since I've enjoyed them.
