Two rounds have been completed, and a tournament that began with 64 teams has been whittled down to the Sweet 16! We are going to be voting for all four regions from here on out. List all your choices in the matchups, so for this round, you need to pick your favorite in both of the matchups of the region. You will have until midnight on Wednesday to vote in all four threads. I’m going to do a write-up of each matchup in the beginning of each thread including a clip of each show, which will also culminate in my vote for the matchups with a spoiler warning. Lets get to it.
#1 seed Saturday Night Live vs.
#12 seed The Price is Right
The Price is Right has been the Cinderella of this tournament so far, as the only double digit seed to advance to the Sweet 16, taking out the other game shows that stood in its way. Can that magic continue against a red hot Saturday Night Live, which has breezed through its competition thus far?
#2 seed Chappelle’s Show vs.
#3 seed Whose Line is it Anyway?
This is the matchup in the region that demonstrates teamwork vs. a superstar carrying the load. Whose Line has a solid rotation of talent between Wayne Brady, Ryan Stiles, and my personal MVP of the show, Colin Mocherie, while Chappelle’s Show is carried by the singular voice of the show’s lead, Dave Chappelle. One is more family friendly, the other lives on the edge. Both have produced skits that I have watched repeatedly over the years, but only one can advance here.

Sadly, I think this is the end for Bob Barker as I expect SNL to spay and neuter the Price is Right. I vote for SNL.

I’m giving my vote to Chappelle’s Show.
