I haven't checked it lately, but religion and politics were supposed to be a no-no for people who posted.
Thus me making this thread. I have my hunch of who it was, but I will not divide the regiment by pointing fingers.
I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who logs onto that account, and I just retweeted a Carolina blue Lamborghini, a pig on Franklin Street, women's soccer, and something about the awesomeness of lasagna. Which one is the political bullshit exactly?

I'm just saying, everything in this whole world is political. I can't follow a single person on Twitter without hearing their political views. I'd love to keep OOTB's Twitter free of politics.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure if you don't want to hear people's political views Twitter may not be for you. Or Facebook. Or OOTB.
FWIW I have diligently avoided political tweets and stuck to UNC and humor while logged in to @thiootb. Sorry for the one slip. Sheesh.
Oh, and I'll say it one more time though it seems to fall on deaf ears. I still think that account could be fun if more OOTBers would use it from time to time.

As far as I can tell, the official OOTB twitter account hasn't retweeted anything political. And it wouldn't have been me because I don't log into that account on any sort of regular basis.
Now if you are talking about OOTB poasters who retweet things that are political on their personal accounts, I think that's a different story. I'll admit, Twitter is definitely my platform of choice when it comes to anything of that sort, but I try to stay out of it here and on my other social media platforms because it is pretty much everywhere. It's easier on Twitter to get caught up in it, and as I said, I'm certainly guilty of sharing my political views there more than any other platform that I use. Some are more comfortable sharing their views here, I'm more comfortable sharing mine there.

I don't use Facebook, and I rarely get on Twitter anymore. I just find it humorous that folks actually think other people GAF about their political opinions. I certainly don't give a shit about some random celeb or sports writer's political leanings, right or left. If I want political news and opinions, I'll go to....wait for it..... political sources.

As far as OOTB is concerned, I've never made one political poast in my life, so if you want a political free board, just ignore everyone on here but me. That's what you guys should be doing anyway since my poasts are always the best ones.

That's fair, and I figured that's what you meant, but didn't know if that had something to do with it. I agree that the official OOTB account should be a place where the only thing getting bashed is the Wolpfack and the folks in Derm.

Are we each actually supposed to know how to log in to it? I follow it and retweet funny stuff or UNC stuff but that's it.
