So it appears the meaning of "I'm going to talk to my supporters" actually means I'm dropping out soon. It's going to take some excitement out of the convention though. All that's left to see is if Biden remembers it.
I didn't watch the video, but experts have been saying that we were unprepared since the early 2000s.
I think everyone is generally unprepared for everything until it actually happens in our lifetime. The other viruses didn't require us to do anything differently, this is the first one that has and we just weren't prepared for it. I like to give Trump shit on how he's handled it from a PR perspective but I didn't expect him to be "ready" for this prior to December.
Hell, our "preparation" for a nuclear attack was telling kids to get under their desks.
I remember a video recommending you paint your window panes white to help them withstand the heat.
It’s not fair to Obama but I wish this had happened while he was in office. At least we would have had a worldwide team it place at the start. Might have saved us a lot of lives, not to mention tax dollars and GDP.
PR would have been better, that's about it.
Maybe he would have listened to health advisers a bit earlier but as mentioned earlier, we definitely weren't prepared for this and have never been.
He had a group of experts in place just waiting for this, or something like this to happen. Of course the stable genius shut it all down to save money. Boy, that worked out great didn’t it?
We had teams on teams with experts in counterterrorism before 9/11, did that do anything? Again, until something happens you're never fully prepared. It sucks but it's the way it is.
We agree that the early response when CV happened wasn't great and I think that's the fair Trump criticism....but saying Obama would have had this shit on lock is just you being bias on who you like vs. don't like.
If it would have saved us just a few weeks it would have been worth it and a bargain to the taxpayer.

I'd have a lot more respect for him, if he just did the opening statement and then got the F outta the way and let the experts speak. But its annoying as hell when he berates reporters when they don't ask questions the way he wants them asked, or when he acts like he's at one of his rallies with some of the shit he says.

I always think about the interviews I've heard/seen with people who knew him through The Apprentice (Penn Jillette), or people like Howard Stern, and others. He used to come on his radio show a lot. And, I remember seeing the Netflix series "Trump: An American Dream." All of these were before his presidency. He was always... ummm... unique. But, he's still the shady salesman that he always was, and always will be. I have no doubt that he really believes that his legacy and contributions/accomplishments are always the STANDARD by which all others are measured... like, what he has done stands above all the rest. When, in reality, it's just a veneer. There's nothing really there. It's the appearance of something great. It's always been lavish, glittery... gaudy... and CHEAP. I have NEVER understood the appeal of the man. And, I am not talking about as a president/politician. He was a low IQ, Queens NY shyster 40 and 50 years ago! He's as vapid as it gets. To me, his whole shtick was to be a caricature.
A lot of regular posters have disappeared since this made them (and their idol) look pretty poorly.

I think he's poasting here about as much as he normally does and has been for over a year now. I guarantee you he doesn't share your opinion about how Trump has handled this, nor does he stay away from here because you think he can't defend his position.
How do you think it's as much as normal? A very quick search shows me he posted nearly every day, multiple times a day in the month prior to March 23rd. Now it's been 2.5 weeks since he's posted last. Want to explain your statement there?
Prior to the Coronavirus thread he had not been poasting that much here. He has poasted more recently, but my point still stands, he is poasting about as much as he did here over the past year. As for the rest of what I said, he's not running scared over having to defend his position here.
Suppressing votes is the only chance you have in 2020 and it gets worse after that. My hope is that real conservatives will come back to take the GOP back from the people that have supported this shit show.
Real conservatives would never vote Hillary. They would blank their vote first.
