OOTB's Political Thread . ..

Real conservatives would never vote Hillary. They would blank their vote first.

Yes, voter fraud will happen. Doesnt matter which party, although I give the edge to the libs since they hate trump so bad
Hillary is a lot closer to a real conservative than this parade of fools we have seen the last 3 years.

Um, she is no conservative by any means. And I feel we did fine the past few years considering what BOTH!!! parties have done. It has taken an invisible enemy to stop this country. Otherwise, it would be another 4 years of the same. And I wouldn't hold my breathe that he wont sail right in again.

Call her what you want but she’s definitely right of center.

Lol...

"I'm shocked"

I didn't say there was anything wrong with it. But if you think these two parties are going to agree to something like that before the election then your faith in this bunch is much higher than mine.
Suppressing votes is the only chance you have in 2020 and it gets worse after that. My hope is that real conservatives will come back to take the GOP back from the people that have supported this shit show.
The only chance I have? I'm not running for anything...try to keep up.
Why dont we just let everyone text in their votes? Or phone them in? Or better yet, why can't the Dems just go door to door and record everyone's vote for us?

People have been able to mail in their vote for years. Why does it bother you now?

Please show me where I ever said it did.
What did you mean when you posted this?

I don't have a problem with the mail in ballots.

But if we leave it up to the Dems, and people like you, then anything goes. You don't care if it's legitimate as long as Trump loses.

Simple enough? Stop thinking you know what I think. You don't.

Yeah I bet republicans would be completely honest about the vote count if it was “left up to them.”

Not that it matters because that’s a completely ridiculous concern to have since one party is never going to be left in charge of counting the votes in the general election. But it never fails that right wingers try to equate making it easier to vote with democrats cheating.

Lol... you have good reason to be scared of this election.

You're right. I'm terrified. I probably won't sleep before the next election. Honestly, I'm about to the point that as long as my financial situation remains the way I like it then I'm pretty good. I won't scream about much of anything if they leave my wallet alone.

They both cheat and lie like dogs. I don't trust any politicians any farther than I can see them. Too much money involved to keep it clean.

so - bat?
You ever watch Ricky Gervais and An Idiot Abroad on Netflix with his less-intellectual sidekick Karl Pilkington sent all over the world?

He goes to China in one episode and the shit they eat- and SELL on the streets as delicacies- is disgusting. Although, they might think that pork rinds are disgusting.

Yeah - about the idea of giving Americans free money on a regular basis? Nah, I'm good.

Curious what the need ranking is for those 4 things? My opinion:

1. Dildos
2. Guns
3. Tigers
4. Stripper poles (which are just not practical or sexy when the average woman (or man?) is on it)

How do we plan on paying all this back? That used to be the first question a real conservative would want to know.

I'm fiscally conservative so I can say that's my first, second, and last thought whenever we expand what the government pays for.

Now, I'm also a rational human being (most of the time) and I think in extreme cases you have to help people (I'm a fiscal conservative that supports what the New Deal did in the 30s). To me, this is an extreme case when you have 16 million file unemployment.

How do we pay it back? We go into more debt short term. Long term? I'd bet we cut some programs, which is usually a good idea anyway.

Oh, I’m not saying it’s not necessary, I just wish they had a plan in place to pay it back before the money goes out the door.

I should prob care how much these programs cost...but we’re like trillions in debt and we print money like it’s confetti so why gaf?
Republicans haven't been fiscally conservative since... Eisenhower? They've been worse than the Democrats at managing the finances.

Mehhhh...Debt to GDP is a good scale to use and it's mixed.

Dwight - very good
JFK - bad
LBJ - good
Nixon/Ford - very good
Carter - good
Reagan - very bad
Bush - very bad
Clinton - good
Bush 2 - very good
Obama - bad
Trump - very bad

Hard to put a party on this one. More about just the country and the surrounding factors in general.

These press conferences may be hurting Trump. They are geared for his base but I am seeing in other places (not here) that some of his supporters are jumping ship for the first time since he took office.

He (and Pence/Fauci/Birx) did very well yesterday. I actually watched him go to say something that probably would have been divisive and he stopped and altered his wording.

His doctors came up with a plan and the plan makes sense. They did a good job of explaining it yesterday. Now, can we enforce the guidelines once they go in place or will it turn into South Beach in late March again? Probably the latter but that's not really on Trump, that's on local government/law enforcement.

But all in all, he did well yesterday and the plan is solid. I rip him often but when he does something well during a crisis like he did yesterday you can't hide from it.

Except for the lying, I agree. He lies so much people have gotten to the place that it no longer bothers them. This, among other things, has damaged the office permanently I’m afraid.
