OT: More Ball Family Drama

When is the media gonna stop giving this idiot a medium? First he downplays his son stealing and now instead of learning a lesson and suffering some consequences, he picks up his son and they take their ball home? You think his son is going to learn any lesson from all of this???
This however must be like an early Christmas present for UCLA and Alford. Sad part is, some other Division 1 school will probably sign this kid, thus rewarding this son and father combo. I guess his next attempt is going to be to take his son away from the Lakers as soon as he gets benched, since he has done it with his other two sons in college and high school respectively?

I don't know what is worse, listening to Lavar ramble out of his mind or the fact that there's not an NBA franchise that will touch this circus with a 100 foot pole. What's Lavar gonna do when he isn't drafted? Start making even more waves for Lonzo in LA? Try and strong arm a "package deal" that he has absolutely no leverage with?

Agreed. Daddy ball is destroying these young boys future. Plus he criticizes every institution his kids play for......UCLA , Lakers and on. No Team is going to draft these kids because of the daddy and his mouth go with it. Regardless of lonzo’s play for the lakers,do you honestly think they would draft that kid again at two?! His dad is an embarrassment to the game!

I agree, it was a stupid mistake, especially being in a foreign country. He did own up to it and apologized. If he decided to leave UCLA due to the suspension, that's on him. But from everything I've read, Lavar is the one behind it.
I'm sure Alford is relieved to be done with the Ball family. I highly doubt LaMelo will go there now.

The entire Ball family desperately needs professional counseling. LaVar failed to become a big time professional athlete, so he is hoping to be regarded as successful through his boys, despite the adverse psychological effects on them. LaVar's wife -- if she were as strong and principled as mine -- should be insisting on him backing far, far away from the lives of his boys, so that they may experience life without a domineering, overbearing, dictatorial, deranged father. And the boys need to realize that they can develop into responsible adults without the "help" of their father.
Apparently, Alford didn't know Ball was leaving. This story just gets more bizarre by the day.

Lavar capitalized on the media. He basically sold the Lakers on drafting Lonzo and picking 2nd helped. He single handily sold a Brand that was basically worthless into one that you at least had to look at.
Where he tripped on his own feet is that Liangelo is good, but a very average college player and maybe can improve if he stayed over a four year career. Why I say Lavar is stupid is because Melo is a high rated player and by the time he got to UCLA Liangelo would at least be getting a little playing time, Lavar missed out on the future marketability of his family brand.
Now he has two sons not playing or going to school!!

I honestly don't think he missed out. Media loves this dude, and people who hate him eat it up. Hell the family reality show has been doing good. BBB current net worth is 13.5 million. While some will quickly say, that not much compared to Nike. Name another parent that had tried to open their own shoe company.
Now I don't agree with some of his words or actions, he can make sense at times. I also think he has great ideas. Just go about it wrongly at times.
What I'm waiting for is the next person to follow the trend.

I don't watch a lot if tennis, but I think he became more scarce as time went on as far as I can remember
If u watch sports shows u don't have to go search for him. It's usually pushed down your throat. The guy is a joke. I don't think I have ever heard his kids talk. Lonzo is a big boy now, daddy should back off and let him do his on thing and stop embarrassing the the family.
