I don't watch too much of NCAA Baseball besides the CWS. I was just wondering, how come we play so many home games compared to away games? I count 17 away games, and I think 30+ home games. Is there a reason for that?

Also, we are doing really good in baseball this year. If we have a good showing versus Clemson then we should get a 1 seed in the tourney I'd guess.

Always have had more home games especially out of conference vs smaller D 1 teams.Until the loss Sunday vs Moo U,they were on a long winning streak, this may be one of Carolina's best teams. They have won all of their ACC series so far.And Beat the lamecocks this past week 20-5.

Probably the same reason we have more football/basketball home games than away games. Easy to pay small schools a bit of money to come to our place out of conference.

Uh every single game was home up to a point. Including like kentuckys and such.

You should check out the baseball board...

It's my understanding that the regionals are awarded to the highest seed in that group.
That's technically correct. A selection committee assigns the seeds based on records, SOS, RPI, etc. but also takes into account geographic and financial considerations. The arrangement typically favors the "big boys" but with 16 regionals you'll still see some hosted by smaller programs each year. UL-Lafayette, UC-Santa Barbara, Dallas Baptist, Missouri State, and Cal-Poly have all hosted regionals in the last few years. UNC is in great shape to host a regional barring a disaster in the final stretch of the season.
