Two Triangle universities were among the top 50 in the Center for World University Rankings (CWUR) list of the world’s top 1,000 universities. Duke University ranked No. 29 and UNC-Chapel Hill ranked No. 38 globally. N.C. State University ranked No. 214. In the U.S., Duke ranked 22nd, UNC-CH was 25th and N.C. State was 89th in the same list.
