Louisville is all over Florida St: 28-10 with 5 minutes left in the 2nd quarter. Of course, FSU looked weak vs Ole Miss in the 1st half, and also looked bad at Louisville in the 1st half 2 years ago.

Miami is all over App St 24-3.

Louisville with Lamar Jackson running the show may very well be one of the best four teams in the country. Real talk.

Louisville may have a hard time keeping Petrino , he may be a jerk but he can coach.
His wife and kids loved living in Louisville and were furious when he left the 1st time. If he leaves again, he may be divorced.

Cards have now made it 42-10

Canes were on the 5 or so, ready to score again, and a fluke INT has set up the Mountaineers. 24-10 Miami.

FSU is looking really beatable right now but I'm not sure them getting blown out is great for our chances.

Cards score again, lead 49-10

If this holds and I had a vote in a poll. I would vote Louisville #2.

juco and transfers have made them legit sooner than i thought...they are really good.

now fsu is losing their cool...that's the jimbo fisher team i know and detest.

Miami leads App St 45-10. App St lost to the Vols in Knoxville in OT. The Vols today are struggling with Ohio U.

Yet the Vols are ranked, and we are not.

I just noticed that the UL fans at the game are quiet and the stands are emptying! You'd think they'd be loud and ready to celebrate. It sounds like it's being played in Tallahassee.

Still absolutely shaking my head at the LVille/ FSU score

SIXTY THREE POINTS against FSU!!!!!!! WOW!!!!

BTW Pitt is gonna be one tough game next week

ND is a 5/8ths member of ACC football, so my takes on Mich St hurting ND in South Bend go here. They are: 1) the Mich D even after Narduzzi is much better coached than anything UNC has had since the end of the Mack Brown era; 2) I would give anything if I could draft 3 or 4 of the Mich St D players who were no higher than 3* recruits. People may not see them as having the athleticism of several our players on D, but they play such smart team football that they are worth more than any D players we have. They actually know how to play their positions, and do so with sound fundamentals.

Lol. The location of her residence is not what Mrs. Petrino should be basing her decision to get divorced on. I believe she has bigger fish to fry!

LSU
Texas
USC
Texas did it once before, so if they got rid of Charlie I doubt they would pursue a second Louisville coach. I doubt LSU or USC could outbid UL. I am serious here. Check out rankings of athletic department revenues and you will see UL has plenty of $$$. And now that we gave a path to the playoff with ACC membership, there's no reason to leave like when we were in the BE. Then again, logic doesn't always govern these things.....

I think this was by far the most shocking game of the day, even considering what N Texas did. Not sure I would see either OSU or bama taking apart FSU like that?

I don't think one has any bearing on the other.

FWIW, I hope UofL is able to keep Petrino because I'd love to see the ACC become a very strong football conference. Clemson, FSU, and Miami all recruit well enough to be perennial top 20 programs, Clemson and FSU are already there and Miami should be. Petrino is a good enough coach to make UofL that type of program too, IMO. And while I don't believe Fed is at the level of Sweeney, Fisher, or Petrino, I'm hoping that our staff is good enough that in a couple of more years, UNC can be up there as well.

You are fooling yourself if you think LSU and USC can't outbid Louisville. LSU has considerably more revenue and USC is private. It's really more about the booster's revenue than anything else. Will he want to leave? Only he knows.

I have to agree, and both are considered about as good as it gets when discussing college football schools, schools where football is king. Now as I said, for selfish ACC reasons, I hope Petrino stays put. But if offered the Texas, LSU, or USC gig, I think it would be hard to say no. IIRC, he's a Montana native so he's probably wide open to opportunities anywhere.

Petrino is a scumbag. UL sold their souls to bring that sleazeball back.
You mentioned this on OOTB. I'm not familiar with this guy. Is there somewhere that offers an objective summation of what you're talking about? What has he done, or been accused of doing?

What... In... The... Hell???

At some point, I stop blaming him. This seems more pathological on the other side of the situation. He must have one of the last real Mojo hands left.
