Tonight we have the ACC's lone Top 10 team Miami hosting the flailing boys from ole VPI. Pry may get the boot after this season if he cannot get things turned around. It would be just like stupid UNC to beg ever aging mediocre Mack to hang around 1 more year at least while the Hokies fire Pry to try avoid being locked into permanent mediocrity.

BC hosts CUSA's Western Kentucky. The Hilltoppers are 3-1, which might sound like nothing, but the only loss is to Bama. Last week WKU upset then 3-0 Toledo, which last year was 11-3. So WKU is still in the hunt to win CUSA.

Syracuse hosts Bob Chesney's former team, Holy Cross.

Mighty MooU hosts Fightin' Irish killers Northern Illinois. Dave Doeren;s former team.

Louisville heads to South Bend to take on the Irish. The ACC badly needs the Cards to get that W.

Wake hosts the Ragin' Cajuns.

The Cardinal, or if you prefer The Tree, makes its way into Death Valley. If Stanford was still The Indians that would be great, as we would be talking about the Indians heading to Death Valley to try to slay some Tigers.

Along those lines, the no longer winless Seminoles will be on the Plains of North Texas trying to round up some Mustangs.

Hokies lead the Canes at Half 24-17.

VT dominated the 2nd quarter. Early, Miami looked like it could runaway, but the VT WRs made some big plays and the D stood up and began banging on Miami. The VT OL began opening holes and pas s blocking well.

But Miami did nail a 56 yard FG as time expires in the 2nd.

Very good game to watch. Canes get late lead and hang on 38-34. VT should have entered game undefeated. A 4-1 VT would be ranked.

Interesting fact gleaned from switching to see what is going on at Moo game. Announcer stressed that the NIU OL is a strength of the offense (it just give up its first sack of season). The fact: that all 5 are from Wisconsin, and all played at least sports in HS.

Wisconsin football rebuilt its winning ways by focusing on WI players to staff the OL. so there must be something to WI produced OL players.

WKU leads BC 20-14 with * and half left.

Moo leads NIU 24-17 with 10 left.
