That sux. I heard from someone who knows him that a couple of years back he buckled down, got himself into shape and was in a good place for a while with Charlotte, but.... unfortunately PJ is still a bit of a knucklehead and that dedication didn't last. Really hope he hasn't reached that NBA downward spiral where teams don't want to take a chance. He has all the talent necessary to stick.

PJ seems like one of those guys who could have had the world as his oyster but has some character defects that prevented that. I just have a bad feeling bout him and his future. Dearly hope I am wrong, wish him a great life.

Young man is just not committed to his craft at the level necessary to be successful long term

In a couple years, he'll be bagging groceries and being a YMCA pick up game legend. Some guys just can't get right.

Too bad, but there are only so many breaks and second chances. Hopefully he will take this as motivation to get it right. Europe or possibly another NBA team might be his last shot.

Good luck to you PJ!

A friend who taught him in high school said his penchant for hanging out with the wrong crowd and making poor decisions could very well hurt him in the long run. I was concerned that we were recruiting him. And then he couldn't get his act together at UNC. He, like McCants, certainly possesses the requisite talent. But character defects may be too much to allow him to succeed. That is always a shame.

PJ has a rapper mentality. Not a good look in today's NBA environment. It's a business. He missed the boat.

He has made what 4-6 million since he left?He should be able to go to Europe and make six figures for the next ten years. That should set him up for life

$4-6 million? Hardly. Just over $2 million, which is nothing to scoff at but I have a hunch he didn't manage it well and most of it's gone.

But your point remains, he probably could make a nice living in Europe. Hell, he could make a really nice living here if he wasn't an habitual poor decision maker.

It's a shame I loved Pjs game, and the way he played on the court was the type of player I always thought of when I was very young and thought of unc. Aggressive, no back down and lot of talent.
