You have had a great season and I love ya but you have lost your way with your jump shot. It almost looks like your trying to copy Theo with your form and it's just not working out. You are not the GOAT and you can't get away with not squaring your shoulders and hips to the rim and staying more/less vertical. Your shot is flat and the rotation is terrible. Relax .. shoot more with your wrist than your arm and you can shoot 40% from 3 and go for 20+ every game .. Put them Jordans on and just DO IT !

I had this fear the moment I saw the ACC POY announcement. Maybe just coincidence, but it's happened before, including Brogden last year, Okafor in 2015, Larkin in 2013.

Go watch the video from the post game in the locker room This kid is gonna be on a Mission in the NCAA I predict .he was very hard on himself and took the blame for the loss I am telling you this is the kind of loss that is going to light a fire within him and the rest of the team

We will see who gets the last laugh and the last celebration

Why do they need a fire lit under them?!?? They lost a heartbreaker in the Title game last year. That's the fire! They lost to Miami, GT, UVA, Indiana and Duke twice in games that I was told would light a fire under them. The only game that was a legit loss was Kentucky and it took a Herculean effort by Monk. We played well and lost. The other games we had meltdowns. I'm sorry, but losing to Duke how we lost these two games is ridiculous. I love Roy, but his hard headedness lost this game and many we lose. Don't give the answer he does about winning a ton of games. We know he wins. BUT, he loses more games than he should. We seldom win games when we let teams ha e 20-4 runs. That crap can be stopped. It's the postseason.....the lessons should be taught by now.

Agreed

End of 1st half rotations and leaving JB and Meeks on the bench for excessive periods hurt tonight.

THis might be a regression to his mean. He's been shooting a little over his head this year IMO. I think he's probably a mid 30% 3 pt shooter in reality who was hovering new 40%.

If that's the case, it's a bad sign. Maybe he's just forcing it a bit... Which I think is something he is doing as well.

Let's call a spade a spade. Roy has cost us more games than he has won us. Anything in between us won or lost on talent.

Hell no less than half of Dook's wins against us in the Roy era are games you look back and think what the hell? How did we lose?

I'm tired and about 1/2 drunk.

However I'm pretty sure we've held late game leads in every dook/unc game the past 4 years and somehow were like 2-8 in those games.

Mental
Mental
Mental

It's been a long time since dook was truly dominant in physical athleticism. Prob going back to the J Will, Boozer and Dunleavy games.

Alrighty, lets not jump off a ledge. Am i the only one who doesnt give a rats ass about the acc tournament? Rest up and get ready for the madness, thats how I roll.

Of course I care about the NCAA, but there is a common theme here. If we had 2 losses I would agree but we've shown a pattern. If the fire isn't lit to play Duke in the postseason....our wood may be wet. There is no ledge....it's reality.

Acc tournament - don't give a shit.

Blowing another lead and getting our asses whooped by Dook for like the 7th time out of the last 9 or something like that? - definitely give a shit.

UNC's recent record against K is laughable. See Michigan Football to see how important rivalry games are. Legendary coaches have been fired because of that shit. It has to be mental. Roy needs to figure this out.

How can you say our fire wasnt lit? We played a GREAT game until Berry went out, then dook took advantage of Britt on both ends, as any great team would. We led from the start. I cannot agree that we were not motivated or excited to play this game.

I agree to an extent.

We did sweep in 2009

But split in 2005 and 1993. The dookies are benefiting from the K factor in conference play.

This dook team reminds me of 2012-2013. Decent.....then they played an athletic team Louisville in the elite 8 and lost by 20+. That'll happen again this year.

Am I saying we cut down the nets? Absolutely not. However I'd throw a good chunk of change ($1k+) that we go further than dook.

Save that $1k+ for the next Dook UNC game. Take Dook ML and you're guaranteed to win a pretty penny.

Bleed - agreed. Only thing is dook isn't great.

Our PG who bitch slapped them around last Saturday and our ACC POY just sucked it up. We were -19 on FTs and we only lost by 10......

We're gonna be okay!

dook is great vs us ... I should have prefaced that. Yes, the refs help them be "great."

Like my dad said lastnight. The dook game is more mental than physical and Mikey does a great job brainwashing......
K is most certainly in Roy's head, in some form or fashion. Players take on the personality of their Head Coach so often and I see that in these dook games. Our players seem (like Roy) tense, lost, scared, passive, whatever it is .... and on the flip side, the dookies are intense, pissed, cocky, whatever it is.

WTH makes you think this is going to change any time soon? Love the positivity - not sure how some of you guys do it after nights like this. Rolling a J and hoping I forget about this soon.
It's called looking at the big picture. Not sure about you but I've been actively following UNC basketball for 30 years ... I'm used to the give and take and, after the 'Doh era, I have learned to truly and deeply appreciate 20 win seasons and the luxury of automatic post season participation.

No one on our squad has heart. Joel is the only person I can think of that plays with passion and attitude. Isiah is a smiley kid out there, Kennedy has always been soft and pudgy, Nate is lost, Jackson is stoic...Pinson maybe. But honestly, who has any moxie out of the bunch?

I'll say it again, a team cannot have the regular season that this team had without having "heart." It's just not possible. The ACC was a battlefield this year. We may not win the title but we're one of the contenders, whether you can see it tonight or not. Hang in there bro! GO HEELS

Been a die-hard fan for about 20 years but my heart is broken. It may be time to hop off the train. Nothing but heartache and disaster watching this team get beaten by K over and over.

Always support my hometown teams but it's become a burden.

UNC basketball - first basketball game my Dad ever took me to.

OSU Football - moved to Columbus from Cary and started going to OSU games

Hawks, Falcons, Braves - moved to Atlanta and am starting a family here. These teams suck but I think I'm just going to go strictly Atlanta sports. FML. Can't watch Roy and UNC get owned by Dook anymore. Takes too much out of me when it shouldn't LMAO. Don't think I could hate anyone more than K..

At least I don't expect a damn thing from Atl sports. Maybe it's best that way haha.

4 of your 6 are 1000 point scorers.

Meeks is prob gonna end up with close to 1000 rebounds too.

JB2 has an ACC tourney MVP and all conference recognition.

JJ has an ACC POY

Britt, along with Hicks and Meeks, have more ACC wins than any other "class" in UNC history.

Step back from the ledge my friend. Not everyone gets 9th place ribbons.

A bunch of nice players...bring Sheed in to coach. Bring some toughness to the squad or something shit.

I'm sorry @mods but the above post is complete BS. I know i dont post often but come on man! This is a team that has earned a 1 seed at best, 2 seed at worst. All the fans would've taken that at the start of the season with out a doubt! Did Duke/K get the better of us again? Yes. But, last I checked, it's all about the 6 final games. Grow a pair and quit bitching about Roy, the refs, and Duke. This team can win the whole shangang!

Hopefully you're able to celebrate if we win the whole thing. BTW, we win if Berry doesnt get into fould trouble. Hopefully Roy figures that out.

Yep! Berry missed pretty much the whole 2nd half, and JJ is lookong for his stroke, its close...

Toughness. Competitiveness. Will to win. Want to beat the team that he despised.
I think you lack toughness. You're supposedly a fan of one of the greatest basketball programs in history and you're whining because, amid an ocean of success, we struggle against a rival that happens to be one of the other great basketball programs in history. Grow a pair, show some toughness yourself.

I don't think he's regressing to his mean. He's been too good all year for that to be the case. Where I think you are right though is he is pressing and forcing shots. He's been so good that he's drawing the oppositions sole focus.
