His little up and under on Brogdon in that drive down the lane at the 0:42 mark with UVA within 1 point was a thing of beauty . .

Seconds later, he nails both ends of a one-n-one . .

Kid is FINALLY playing with very little PAIN.

he has been walking wounded all season, a real testament to his toughness.

He was a clutch performer at the end for sure!

Before he got fouled, me and my buddies were shouting at the TV to get the ball to Paige.....Thankfully, he got open on the inbounds play, and sent the Wahoos back to Charlottesville shortly thereafterwards, which helped to get my blood pressure back under control last night...lol!

The kids is basketball smart. COmments after the game, he knew in the past he would settle for the jump shot and it hadn't always worked out this year, so he decided to be aggressive and drive. That fake was a thing of beauty.

Paige is a special player, but the one thing this TEAM was missing was another guy that teams had to defend. Everyone and their brother knows who gets the ball in clutch time, especially when a shot is needed so they basically put everything into stopping Paige from getting the ball and dared anyone else to step up. So far no one has.

Until yesterday. Jackson is starting to hit a groove and IF he can continue to be a consistent threat from outside then he, Marcus and Berry can make for one deadly 3 headed monster, especially in a close game where we need a shot. Teams won't be able to key on Marcus, but will have to respect those other two.

What this does then is really open Marcus up to do what he does best and that is a thing of beauty, IMHO.

What I really would love to see today is the three of them getting hot from outside because I don't think ND can guard all three and keep Meeks and Brice in check. I know, that is a pipe dream, but if either Berry or Jackson can be consistent from anywhere outside of 12 feet then at least they can't focus all outside pressure on Paige.

Back to Marcus - I have suffered from plantar facitis and it HURTS. I can't understand how he has played this year because the mornings were terrible and it was ALWAYS there throughout the day. He is unquestionably the leader of this team and a guy who can take over a game. I hope his best days are ahead of him while we still have him because he will be one of those players we all will remember 10-20 years from now.

We need a few more plays like that for end of game situations - that was fantastic. Imagine if we could have pulled that play out of our pocket as our last play in regulation at Dook! Maybe Paige wasn't healthy enough then, who knows
