OMG, that is awful news. Seems like a good kid, helluva player too. My prayers to James and to his family for a full recovery. My mother, 83, just beat that awful bastard of a disease. It just saps the life out of the affected and his/her family.

Everything I have read about him suggests he is a really good kid. Maybe not Hood Eagle Scout good, but good enough. He was lightly recruited out of HS, mostly as a DE or LB. And he has a walk on mentality of hard work.

Saw that his doctors gave him an 85-95% chance of beating it. His on-field toughness tells me he's probably on the high end of that range. Great young man...I'll be rooting for him to not only beat it but return to college football.
