Platek & company...

Big game for them. It will come down to the conference tourney for the top 3 or 4 teams in that league, I hope Siena and Platek get the bid to the dance would be nice for him.

They have been an inconsistent team as well. McCollum is their star, with Billups and Stormo as their next big minute guys who score while doing the other parts, but Platek is their 3 ball man, their X factor guy.

I think he will determine how far they go. He has been up and down in league play, if he can string some strong games together come tourney time I think he will be dancing.

Yeah, Iona seeme to win that NCAA spot every season. Would indeed love to see Siena and Plates get a trip to the dance.

From their games I've seen, McCollum can be a bit too ball-dominant at times, and they seemed to share the rock better with him out. I like Stormo (great name, huh?) as a solid tough-guy Big --- sorta like a poor-man's Kupchak. He could be a nice rotation piece in the ACC.

But yeah, I think you're right about Andrew. He's their coach-on-the-floor and he keeps the ball moving, although they're at their best when he's aggressive. The more touches he gets, the better they seem to play.

Platek was always a team favorite of mine. Worked hard in the classroom and on the court. Never complained about playing time. I would love to see him in the big dance.

103 of his 168 shots are 3's. He rarely gets to the line, only 26 all year, and only shoots 61% from the line. Low assists/rebounds. Seems like Billups has moved into that do a bit of everything role for them, and Platek is now the kick out 3 ball guy.

Quinnipiac might be one to watch in their conference tourney.

That actually speaks to my poimt. Whenever I've watched them Siena is better when Andrew gets more touches and has more chances to be aggressive driving and play-making, as he was in this game. When McCollum doninates the ball too much AP gets relegated to a spot-uo shooter,

My nephew from NY is finishing grad school this spring. They’re decent.

I hear ya, he had that at the start of the year, he has lost that role though. Billups has taken that role. All 3 of their top 3 play 30 plus minutes. Platek is the 4th at 27 per. He is the x factor guy for them. I do think he will determine if they can dance though in that role.

He is not a creater. He does not get the tough defensive assignment. He does not rebound, Billups does that and took that role. I think it is a blessing for Platek, he has focused on his best skill, spotting up for 3's.

Sorry, but that is not true. AP continues to be a + defender ( as he was here) and routinely covers for his teammates. And he can certainly create (ad he did Friday). Guys like AP who are team players tend to get caught in the wash when other guys pound the ball too much.

He may be. He does not get the opponent top perimeter scorer assignment, Billups does at the MAAC level. He is their 4th most relied on player. He started the season as 1A with McCollum, he is now the 3 shooter. And doing a dang good job of it. Also often sits when off shooting. Another poor coach I guess.

He does not create on offense, but he is not asked to, so maybe that is just another coach not letting him do so.

That is TOTALLY on the scheme.
