I've been thinking about this for a couple days. How do y'all think our play-calling will look against the Dawgs? Do you think we'll really rely on the rushing game, especially in the first half when Hollins is suspended? Or do you think we'll come out and try to pass right away? What about UGA? Most likely it's going to be Chubb, Chubb, Chubb, but do you think Chaney gets ballsy and goes play-action on the first play like @matt 1976 mentioned in another thread.
What I'm especially interested in is how our offensive coaching staff will adjust the play-calling if UGA starts effectively stuffing our running game early on. Will we stay with the run, regardless? Will we abandon the run and go to the pass? Will we try some gimmick plays to pick up yardage and swing momentum back to our side?
I can't shake this feeling that whoever receives the ball first will try a trick play on its first play. For Carolina, we know Fedora is a mad man and is never afraid to run a trick play. For UGA, as much as Kirby Smart has ignored questions about Saban and what he learned from Saban, you know that deep down KS is itching for the chance to put HIS stamp on things and make a name for himself, rather than being referred to as a Saban disciple. Combine that with possibly starting a true freshman and everyone in the stadium anticipating a steady dose of Nick Chubb, I could see UGA going flea flicker on the first play to try for the home run and get the Smart era off to a bang.
