With JP's comments, it lead me to think about how players progress at UNC. Here are my thoughts:
Britt- I still cringe when he is in the game but his shooting improved in one year with Davis
Berry- just his improvement in his overall game (yes some of it was just getting the experience)- had to think the staff helped him mentally get beyond the injuries and lack of experience to become a major player for us
Tokoto- still has deficiencies but never thought I'd see him become the player he was. I remember his fr year and he was an athlete only
Hicks- remarkable progress in all areas especially his mindset. He looked like he wanted to take over games at times.
Brice- people want to focus on his lack of d at times and his up and down focus but again the kid has made major strides each year.
Meeks- probably most of credit goes to strength and conditioning coach but great strides. If he didn't have the stretch of sickness at the end of the year, we would all be talking about him right now
Jackson- by end of the year he had progressed into what we all expected of him to begin with. Again, I credit the staff probably more for the mental job than physical. He had the skills but needed the staff to help push him (getting rebounds and being more aggressive) and keeping confidence up on his shot.
