Getting geared up for the games, not a bad time to take a look at opinions of +/- of our players
+ side
+ side
- Nate is a senior, lot of experience, I believe he is our most experienced player
- Solid catch and shoot guy with range well past the trey
- Experience playing the point and may be most likely candidate to back Joel up at the point.
- Could be our quickest player on the roster and may be faster with the dribble than any one else on our roster, close between he and Joel.
- Team first kid, no matter if he comes off the bench or starts, no matter how many minutes he gets in a game, you never hear him complain.
- His defense is light years from where it was his first 2 yrs with us, when he locks in on a defender he is hard to shake, he will chase you around all day
- He plays within his lane, does not try to force things that are not there, does not try to be a player he isn't. I can not recall the last time I saw Nate take a heat check bad shot unless the shot clock forced him to.
- Rock solid at the free throw line
- Nice lil knack for dropping down to strip a big man when he turns to put the ball on the floor.
- He is a small fella, more of a 2 guard in a smallish PG body
- At times I want him to push the action more, pulls off some breaks and resets when I would like to see him take it to the rack and at least draw the foul or use the secondary break ops
- Defers to others a little to much at times, every now & then step up
- Still struggles in one on one defense due to his small size, still runs under to many screens.
- Needs to get to the free throw line more often
- He is a senior, needs to step up and become more of a leader than a role player
- Still at times gets a bit to casual with his ball handles, passing is OK but drive & dish more maybe.
