I think this board has basically put you on ignore. You asking to be banned, and coming here to start a thread about it shows why you are being ignored. Some of your talking points would be considered if you didn't flame out so much. If this board isn't for you, then leave. Seems a bit childish to me to start a thread like this. OOTB turned your last attempt at attention (ask me anything thread) into a typical spoof thread, and you didn't bother to join in. That's really what this board is about. Politic threads are a cancer to this board. We lost a wonderful poaster Billyl to politics. As much as he spammed trump hate, he contributed much more in other threads. He tried to get to know people as best he could. Would even defend them and their opinions. But politics took him out.
People here are very entrenched in their choices and nothing ever said on this board will change that's.
If you fail to understand that, then all you want to do is argue and inflame topics. If that's the case then please exit out and close the door behind you. It gets drafty in here at night

Yes, Billy was a saint among men who loved all his fellow posters. He was actually too good for this place, and His banning was a tragedy.
As far as the OP goes you are again correct...he has essentially banned himself, but I'm sure in a few months he'll be canonized as well.

It's all good. I was drunk when I posted this (gearing up for the eventual FSU disappointment today). It's the first time I've been drunk in a long time, and it'll probably be some time before I get drunk again. Did I mention that FSU is having a terrible season?
I liked Billy, but then again there isn't anyone on this board that I don't like, regardless of what anyone thinks about me. I just think people are more on edge nowadays because of all everything that's going on politically.
If you want, you can change the title to "Stupid Ramblings of a Drunk Idiot". LOL! I'm now remembering why I stopped drinking altogether.
I've already drank enough for a lifetime. After I was hospitalized last year, I decided to be done with the heavy drinking. I might have a beer or two every once in a while, but too much of that stuff will kill you. It almost killed me.

I did post while on some muscle relaxers. I've been fighting some back/sciatica issues. That might have been kind of the same thing.
Being hospitalized for alcoholism isn't usually where you'll find a person that can consume an occasional beer. Sobriety is the only way to go.
For some that's true. I don't want it running my life either way. If I want to have a glass of wine with dinner, I'm going to have a glass of wine with dinner. I just don't want to be drinking three handles a week, which was about where I was at while I was posting on HROT. I was sideways almost every single night. To quote South Park:

I don't know if the drinking directly caused it, but I'm sure it didn't help. Besides, now that I'm working and trying to learn Excel/VBA, I don't have as much time to drink. You know...Idle hands and all that stuff. Plus, I'm kicking around the idea of taking some classes at night to go get an accounting major to go with my finance major. I'm thinking about going after a CPA.

Not to get into some knock-down drag-out fight, but do you think alcoholism is a disease? I've heard arguments from both sides and I would tend to say it isn't, but that's just one man's opinion.
I'm not big on calling vices "diseases". Are some people more predisposed to become a drunk? Sure, I can go for that. But there ain't any Bubonic Plague lurking in a bottle of vodka.
Alcohol is a substance that the human body was not made to metabolize. If you want to embark on another stupid argument that Alcoholism is somehow a figment of people's imagination because of a South Park episode that portrayed it with a comedic slant to get laughs, then find someone else.
And, by all means, if Trey and Matt mocked it, you should drink. You already made a fool of yourself drunk-starting two stupid, self-absorbed threads. I would expect nothing less than you taking that stupid as far as you can take it. Go Deacs!
I didn't mean to imply that some people aren't more predisposed to abuse substances than others. I think @heelbent summed it up pretty well.
You can conquer any addiction with faith (help from above) or sheer will power. You cannot conquer any disease with sheer will power.
Addiction my lead to some aspects of mental issues, especially from over abuse. It can contribute to other diseases or health issues. But it in itself is not a disease.
