I didn’t expect him to play a lot given the talent at forward for this team. The only way I think he would get a substantial amount of minutes is if they play small ball. I haven’t watched any of the games yet. Have they been going with a small ball line up at all?

I agree but still don't think he is being used correctly. I just think they are giving too much leeway to the better players (which they are) when they struggle (which they have at times, sometimes badly). I think it has way more to do with that than with Barnes.

I think he could potentially be the most beneficial in a role where he spells guys (in limited minutes) when they are struggling instead of just as a guy who plays a few token minutes in blowouts. He is versatile enough he isn't going to hurt and good enough to possibly help. It isn't some grand conspiracy though.

If Barnes hadn't even been selected for the team, not a single one of us would have ever thought twice about him being "snubbed." It honestly blew my mind when I saw that he was selected. Don't get me wrong, I am happy for him and think he is a good fit on this team as a utility reserve that can defend a number of positions and is never going to try to play beyond his ability, but K could've easily gone with someone as ridiculous sounding as Kent Bazemore or Tobias Harris at that position and no one would've been been like, "WTF, HOW COULD HE HAVE PASSED UP ON HARRISON BARNES?!"

Point is, Barnes not getting minutes has nothing to do with K being a rat. Of course, K is a rat.

It kinda does have a little to do with K being a rat, if in his newest iteRATion it means catering to ISO NBA style (the opposite of intl and GS style team ball). Barnes was added because he plays a good team game and fit in behind superstars like Curry, Thompson, and Green. Why not use him similarly on another star studded USA team? Because he doesn't want to piss of any super duper stars and hurt his brand with OADs. Farfetched? Maybe. But a better coach would play HB. K won't because he's a rat.
