Duke was 10 in the AP and 11 in the coaches before they lost 3 of 4. They are now ranked 14. Just fyi
True. One thing I find weird though. Duke beats a ranked opponet at home, loses to one on the road and moves up 3 spots. We lose to a ranked opponent on the road, and beat a ranked opponent at home and drop a spot. Oh well, rankings are stupid for the most part anyways.
Agreed. It's a bit of a crapshoot. I thought Duke should've been ranked higher at the end of their 7 game win streak. I think they should be ranked a little lower than they are now.
Really I could not care less just where UK east is rated or for that matter us. Fifth ,sixth, third hell the SEASON the REAL season is about to start

...but its hard for me to imagine any other team losing 3 of 4; two to unranked opponents; and the one win being against a team that has basically beaten nobody on the road in conference (FSU).... and only dropping 3 - 4 spots.
The rankings are really pretty primitive, so I think the moves are understandable. Being ranked #5 it's difficult to move up no matter what happens because there are so few teams in front of us. And we were clearly outplayed by UVA (whose reputation is a borderline top 25 team, so that loss looks a lot worse than Dook's loss).
The only teams Dook passed to move up are Florida State (who they beat), Butler (who lost to Seton Hall at home), and Florida (who lost to Vanderbilt).
Another way of looking at it is Kenpom. We are ranked 4th and Dook is 15th. So the AP polls are actually pretty accurate for once.
