I always think it's fun to see how many of our players are in Pomroy's top 500, and in how many categories.

Pomeroy ranks players in 18 categories. They aren't all equally important, but you're still doing well if you are a top 500 player in several categories.

Now you may think top 500 doesn't sound too impressive. But when you figure there are probably over 3600 players, that amounts to top 14%, so it actually means you are reasonably good. I'm just ball-parking that number. If every team had a 13-man roster there would be 4563 players and top 500 would be the top 10.9%.

So . . . after 2 games here are the guys who are top 500 in something, along with the number of categories they are tops in (trailing number in paren is from last year). Starting from lowest...

3 - Justin (4)
4 - Isaiah
5 - Nate
6 - Berry
7 - Theo
7 - Brice (8)
12 - Kennedy (6)

For those who are wondering, Marcus was top 500 in 9 categories last year and led the team.

Obviously it's early days yet, and we haven't played the toughest competition. But it's a nice start.

I suspect for most of us, this fits our perceptions. Kennedy doing really well, Justin struggling, but still important, and so on.

Thanks, I figured that was the case. I was just hoping that we weren't "stat stuffing" the negative categories.
