Poor Rashad!!!

But McCants’ biggest regret was his highly-publicized relationship with reality TV star Khloe Kardashian late in his career, which he said gave people an opportunity to doubt his commitment to the NBA.

“Without that situation in play, I’m a $60-70 million player,” McCants said. “Easily.”

Of all the lies he's told, that's probably the richest one of all.

Stupid is as stupid does, Mr. McCants!

He is the only former Tar Heel I do not claim! (and yes, I claim Forte and Ndaiye)

As usual, Rashad blaming someone else for wasting an abundance of talent First it was Doherty, then Roy, now its UNC/Kardashian.

At least his consistent

He has a huge tattoo on his right bicep area that says "Born To Be Hated." That's a pretty distinct idea of where his mind and attitude have been. You wanna be hated? No problem.

LOL in different places to almost every word of this, Rose. Thanks for sharing. What a weak, no-accountability, soft, excuse-making pu__y of a player.

His zero commitment to working at all in the NBA - his 100% lack of commitment to the NBA - is what makes me "doubt his commitment to the NBA". And he played here in my hometown.

Head case doesn't begin to do justice to the mental / attitude train wreck that was / is Rashad McCants.

So funny - if you're anything close to a $60-70M player and are willing to buy in, even a little, The League can use you, and will give you chance after chance.

I mean, compare Danny Green - I'd have to say on raw physical talent, Rashad had more physical and athletic gifts than Danny - but Danny and Rashad are not on the same planet regarding attitude, heart, buying in, team attitude.

So one plays and gets paid (deservedly so), and the other just talks and doesn't get paid (also deservedly so). Case closed. End of story, Rashad.

Kings and Wolves - if you can't hang with one of these sorry teams, I don't know what to tell ya

I agree uncfan in ky.
Rashad burned bridges some time ago and remains to this day the same person. Sad too, multitude of talent and not a lick of sense and a bunch of mental health issues.
Put a good guy and a true Tar Heel like Kennedy in the rafters rather than that idiot.

IIRC the yen / yang of tats, on his other arm is "dying to be loved" So you wear your bipolar, mental disorders right out there on your sleeve, so to speak.
Ahhhh... okay. Born to be hated, dying to be loved... that's what they call a conundrum!

He talks about someone high up in the NBA, a Hall of Famer, that says not to touch him.....is he talking about MJ? This guy is a piece of work.....what a sorry excuse for a human!!! Nothing but excuses for HIS failure!!

He didn't say they were in the NBA, just that he was a hall of famer. He's talking about Roy. He's publicly blamed him for years.

I believe this is why Roy stays away from certain recruits..... not saying every top tier player is a head-case like McCant, but it just seems that nowadays Roy and the staff stay away from players who have Rashad-like potential.

When Roy mentioned the 05 team and naming players after the win over Gonzaga, notice he never mentioned Rashad...... He's a distant memory is all.

He said in another interview it wasn't MJ. I'm guessing it's Worthy.

McCants is idiotic-maybe some psychological issues it appears. Maybe he'll be successful in his next endeavor-certainly hope so.

Roy inherited McCants when he came back to Chapel Hill. I'm sure Roy learned what to look for (and avoid) after dealing with him for two years.

That being said, has the dude ever been officially diagnosed with a mental health disorder? I'm not trying to make light of the subject, but honestly there is something not right with Rashad. He most likely needs medication to balance things out.
