declares that the poor have a right to education, lodging, labor and land! An interesting statement to say the least....I agree that they have the right to an education but how many of them truly want or desire an education.....a right to have lodging, I think that is fair but who covers that cost. I know for a fact, because I am on the Board, that our local Homeless Organization has housed and had numerous people complain about the quality of lodging they were put in for the week-have heard not big enough, beds were uncomfortable, no TV etc...not one complaint about being to clean though!!!A right to labor....Maybe if they worked they would not be poor...but why work when everything is being given to you...Many of our poor/homeless have no desire to work...we offer to get them jobs and they promptly leave town.... A right to land....I'm not jiving this one....maybe intended for the poor overseas! I understand that he has a heart for the poor, but to declare that they have all of these rights....not really helping the problem! Certainly trending towards a more socialized approach!
