After that we have a brutal 4-game stretch against Pitt (twice), Duke and Clemson. Three of those on the road. So these next 7 WINNABLE games are critical for fixing what needs fixing and establishing a winning mentality.

My own feeling is if we win 6 or 7, we can still have a fine season. We might still be OK with a worse showing, but only if we seriously turn the corner by the end of this stretch.

For those who care, Pomeroy projects us to win each individual game, but the spread is very close on 4 of them.

5-2 and after that we lose 4 straight
The 5-2 is plausible. We need to do better in the next 4, but I understand your pessimism (or realism, as some might say).

I'll be really interested to see the 2 Pitt games. We don't get to see a lot of home-and-away games, and hardly ever only 11 days apart. Who's better in the 2nd game is sort of like who's better after the half in a regular game - which coach coaches better in that interval?

And when I say 5 and 2 that generous and if we play our best but we could stumble the SMU game and tomorrow's game i counted as wins but those 2 scare me.
