Prediction Contest - Rules and Regs**

Y'all ready for another contest season ??? Most of you know the deal but for those who are new, here is how the contest works.

I will post spreads (i.e. UNC -7.5, Over/Under 151 total points) 24 hours or so before each game. You respond within that thread with both of your picks. You will get 3 points for one correct pick and 9 points if you get both picks correctly. I will then post a scoreboard thread within 24 hours after the game. We keep a running tally throughout and will give out some prizes at the end of the Regular season (we use the ACCT for tiebreaking purposes only). Your picks MUST be posted by tip off in order to count and you can edit them as often as you'd like PRIOR to tip off.

To keep things interesting we'll have 5 games where the points double (Maryland, the 2 Moo U games and the 2 dook games).

I will say that in order to be competitive you really cannot miss more than 2 or 3 total games all season.... consistency is critical! Feel free to email me with any questions: rshabh7977@aol.com

I will try again, but I have little hope that I will not miss multiple games as usual! I must have ADD or something because I always miss several games during the stretch when we play them close together.

As an incentive for the fans to play "each game" my internet company will toss in a prize of $50 for a drawing for the fans that do not win a prize. You can do a drawing at the end and award the $50 for the players that played every game. What do you think?

Sorry to sound silly Bleed, but can you pls explain how the spreads work again.... I think I got lucky a few times last season!

Oz ... if the spread is UNC -7.5, a pick FOR UNC would mean you predict the Heels will win by 8 or more .. a pick for the opponent would mean the opposite.

As for the total points, if the spread is 152.5, a pick for the "Over" would mean that you predict the total points scored by both teams to be 153 or more ... a pick for the "Under" would mean the opposite.

By always using spreads with 1/2 points (i.e. 152.5 instead of 152) we eliminate the possibility of a tie.
