Alright y'all, I'm sorry to do this but I don't have a choice. Due to my travel plans I will need your picks by 5:30pm EST on Saturday (one hour before tip off). I'll be in the air to Port au Prince late Saturday afternoon with internet access until approx 5:30 and could post the picks on THR at that point ... otherwise I would not get them posted until late Saturday night and that will suck for everyone involved. I'm sorry to do that.

Easy line here .... they won by a point at our place and they come in having won 7 of their last 9. I expect Vegas to be pretty close to this number as well. Heels absolutely should be underdogs in this game.

underdogs i can see, but i wouldn't mind getting a little cash down on us plus-4.5 if it turns out that way. inside 3 points and i'd be worried about us entering the choke/panic zone late in the game and losing ATS as well as outright. 4.5 gives a little protection against that, and hopefully we just freaking win like we should

Of course I hope I'm wrong but they're gonna be foaming at the mouth with the opportunity to keep us from winning the regular season title. Allen made ONE three pointer in Chapel Hill and they still beat us ...you can bet he ain't going 1 for 5 in Hansbrough Indoor.

Well if you really like the dookies in this game the early lines i saw (one pick, one with Duke -1) will give you some good value. I would never put money against UNC, but these lines aren't enticing me to necessarily to pick us.

I really thought (after the road loss at UVA) that more folks would favor dook to win this game ... and 4.5 points is simply a free throw cover. Not a knee jerk reaction at all, I gave it a lot of thought. I've said before, I don't care at all what Vegas does ... I base my lines on what I think will split the picks and there is always a UNC bias, especially in the dook game because we want so bad to believe that we'll beat them.

In 6 years of the contest dook has covered the spread 9 of 14 times ... and they're 4-2 at HIS.

There is good disparity on the O/U picks today.

I saw it as dook +1 on my site this morning, so I leaned into that. I'm not sure how they're an underdog, when we've proven in recent years to get the yips playing against them, they beat us in DES a couple weeks ago, and now the game is at Cameron indoor.

I wagered about a day's pay on it. And figured, if we win, I'm fine with essentially working Monday "for free" since I'll still be on the emotional high from watching the Heels exorcise the demons.

Yeah this is a dream "UNC-dook" bet scenario .. getting dook at -1.5. Obviously they can win by 1 and I'm pissed both ways .... but the likelihood of that happening again is very slim. UNC wins, I'm happy and out a few bones ... dook wins, I'm disappointed but pocket a few bones. Love it. GO HEELS
