Penn State is making the right moves to improve their roster going into the upcoming season, they could be a force to reckon with in the Big 10.

After their best season in 22 years; They lost their head coach to Notre Dame. They lost 6 players to graduation or the NBA draft. All 3 incoming recruits asked out of their letters of intent. 4 additional players entered the transfer portal.

What moves have they made that outweigh all of that to improve their roster?

Based upon what is being circulated they are heavy into the portal which contributed to some teams building a very competitive base last season. Not going out on a limb saying they will be a final four team, or win the Big Ten, but they could be trending in the right direction. Coach Rhoads has added Puff Johnson, Wahab from Georgetown, VCU guards Baldwin and Kern, and Temple forward Hicks, and was able to keep guard Jameel Brown at Penn State after he considered the portal. Addition by subtraction could work out favorable for them. JMHO!!!
