I know we've offered Kennedy Chandler. I see both of the CB picks are for d00k, albeit both from Devil's Den insiders. But I have heard quite a bit of scuttlebutt about Chandler winding up in Derm.

Are we looking at any other '21 PG's besides possibly Brizzi? I think Love is likely a OAD. We have RJ to play PG if that happens, but I know Roy doesn't want to get caught short at that position, especially in lieu of our abundance of injuries over the last few years. So I expect Brizzi to get a serious look.

Are we showing any interest in Carter Whitt? I see he's got offers from several big schools and I know NVSU is pursuing him very hard. Just wondered if anyone had heard anything re: our PG recruiting for '21, besides Chandler.

I like the breakdown, but I would switch Platek to CG. I see very few scenarios on this team where he is a wing. I envision Wing as a 2/3 in our O and CG as 1/2. ( I really think he will see almost 0 minutes at 1 this season)

But if you think 3 or 4 guys could leave early, including ALL our big men except as-yet-unproven Manley, then we could have 6 or 7 scholarships available, with 1 already given.

Seems like we need to put out a bunch more offers. Especially to big guys.

On my mental pencil list (less certain than my ink list) I figure we'll get one of the Bacot-Sharpe-Kessler trio back.

I would also expect that player to be very solid for his junior (if Bacot) or sophomore (if Kessler or Sharpe) year.

Plus Manley, who is still a total unknown quantity.

Plus Styles, who is short, just a freshman, and (as I understand it) not much of of an outside threat. Of course he could grow and develop an outside shot.

I'm not saying that front line would suck. But it's nowhere near as reassuring as having Brooks, Bacot, Kessler, Sharpe and Manley this season.

Yep. He’s been a uk lock imo for a while, he’s just waiting on their offer and I think they’ll offer him soon. Supposedly their whole coaching staff is doing a zoom call with him tomorrow.

I would add Caleb Love to the list of players that may be leaving. I like UNC chances for Hunter Sallis. Roy is all over that kid. No sources, just my read.

Yeah, I was counting Caleb in my 3-4 early departures. Him and 2 or 3 of our bigs.

Hard to see anyone else leaving early unless they really blow up or transfer, and those routes seem unlikely.

While I expect one of the Bacot-Sharpe-Kessler trio to come back for another season, it's possible all 3 will go pro.

Which would leave us with Manley and Styles.

That won't cut it.

We only have offers out to 3 bigs - including 6'9/190 Baldwin who is a SF, along with Holmgren and Banchero.

I'm no expert but I'd rate our changes of landing any of those guys as slim-to-none.

We need to put out offers to several big guys. When by several, I mean at least 4.

JMO, and I know that COVID is making it hard to recruit. But that's how it looks to me.
