How often do you guys see a pick and roll where the "roll" man conveniently spins into the "pick" man's defender and lead blocks them 5 yards into the paint? Last time I checked, that is an ILLEGAL SCREEN!!!!

Yeah but only UNC set illegal/moving screens. Well we're the only team that it gets called on at least five times a game. Total bullshiggity.

What pisses me off more is when our big man hedges the screen, has clearly established himself, then the ballhandler runs into him and its a foul on us

Yep, and we have been victimized by Three MASSIVE FLOPS by opponent 3 point shooters in the last 2 games and the idiot refs fell for all three of them. 2 times cost us 4 extar points vs dook lite/Harbard and 1 extra point on the "and 1" tonight. Also, on the 4th foul they charged to Johnson, Paige was fouled twice on his drive, and then fouled again very hard on the rebound - yet somehow Johnson was the one who got a foul out of the deal. Honestly, some of these refs should have to pay serious fines for their pathetic mistakes.

My pet peeve is when the screener ends up being our own guy... Joel james and Meeks, Hickls at times as well, have a real habit of stepping to far out on a show (becomes a mini hedge) or not holding the hedge long enough, we get caught in between. You hold the hedage longer and switch or set up the trap or you give the show & recover without running in to your own team mate but getting caught in between is danger zone. We have a real hole there that I have not seen a lot of team exploit but if I were playing us I would roll down the big man off the high screen right away and look to hit him with the immediate pass, he either finishes or slips to the back side cutter when the defender steps to him. Karl Malone/John Stockton style.

I've noticed that also. I referee HS, so I feel I know an illegal screen when I see one, and UNC
seems to be called where other teams are not.
