Not ignored. Intentionally omitted. Meh.ETA: I like how Vegas Vacation just got ignored
I will say while I gave Caddyshack the top spot, Chevy is the 4th funniest person in that movie in my book.
It's Friday. Let your hair down. But as I indicated in my first poast in this thread, he could have been a little more descriptive in his instructions.
No that's fair, which is why I gave it the top spot, just was pointing that out as a side note. Its an incredibly strong ensemble, no questionI agree. I might go 3rd behind behind Murray and Ted Knight. Not sure Rodney beats him out. But for the purposes of ranking the movies, I think it's irrelevant. He didn't ask us to rank Chevy's performances in the movies; just rank the movies. But as I indicated in my first poast in this thread, he could have been a little more descriptive in his instructions.
Caddyshack
Fletch
Funny Farm
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
National Lampoon's European Vacation
National Lampoon's Vacation
Spies Like Us
Three Amigos
There is a correct answer here, but Imma give y'all a chance to screw it up first.
Fletch at #1 is of course the correct answer. What makes it Chevy's best movie is that he's the only one delivering the jokes, just riffing his way through the whole movie, and the quotability ratio is off the charts. Add in the fact that there's actually a decent plot going on behind the humor and you've got a cult classic.1- Fletch. This is my most quoted movie.
2- Vacation. The older I get, the funnier it gets
3- Christmas Vacation. My second most quoted movie.
4- Caddyshack was an all time great movie, but as others have said, it's not a Chevy Chase movie as most of the others are.
5- Funny Farm. Great supporting cast.
6- Spies Like Us. As strong as a number 6 as you will ever see in a Rank email thread
7- Euro Vacation. Just a bit over the top
8- Three Amigos. Disappointing.
