This video is more than Rasheed but it shows how a good point guard and getting to the right spot on the floor can make the game look so easy. Of course he was a phenomenal athlete but he got easy buckets because of the point guard play around him. Everybody now wants to look flashy. Could Rasheed bring the ball up the court? Yeah...but not as good as McCants! Could he shoot the 3...yeah but not as good as Calabria. What did Rasheed do? Find space and be ready for the ball.
Plus it is great to see how we used to run the court. I think this team will release up the court more than the past. It starts with Cadeau at point guard. He will push the ball with dribble AND with the pass which is important. We have several guys who should be able to get up and down the court including Bacot. The game will be a lot easier when guys are running rim-to-rim and getting easy buckets.
It seemed like we worked really hard for a bad shot the last year or so...
