As many of you know he was at the scrimmage last night. Making it already his 3rd unofficial visit to UNC, now Steve Robinson is watching him play today. I know many believe we have no chance and there are behind the scenes things happening, but there is way to much action going on between us and Alkins to say we have no shot. Just my honest opinion.

Everyone says things like "oh there are other forces at play" or "Clifton won't let him come to UNC" and I know for a fact that is a bunch of nothing. We are right in the mix for Rawle as it stands right now. He seems like a spring announcement guy so we have a long time and many visits to other schools in the way of a commitment, but it is a FACT that UNC is very high on his list as of right now.

Anyone who says anything differently is just simply wrong.

you have my support.

Rawle would be a difference maker, I know it's months before an announcement, but he's starting to understand how much of a privilege it is to wear OUR BLUE..he'll think it through

I still worry that it is Word of God he is playing for this season, I know someone shared that WOG had addressed many of the concerns that got them on the diploma mill watch list. I strongly believe that Roy would not be recruiting him out of WOG if that were not true, Roy does not recruit diploma mill schools nor do I want him to. But still, I can not get that schools past out of my present mind.

I am not all that worried about Clifton or even NC State. It is in Clifton's best interest to be able to get some of his alums in to the Flagship school we know as UNC, it raises his stature at his level to have former tar Heel players on his resume. Kid does seem to take every op to be around the UNC program, same does not look true of his being around the NC State program.

Roy is busting out the big guns with the Jordan comparison!

"When I took my visit to North Carolina, Coach Williams was telling me all about how much of an impact I could make on the state. He said I really reminded him of Michael Jordan. He said Michael was 6-4 when he was there just like me, and Michael did whatever it took to win and he said he sees that in me."

...and the best thing is that Roy Williams would not lie about such a comparison. Sure do hope that we can gain ground and sign this young man. Great day to be a Tar Heel !

Seems like a quality young man who understands the big picture (education as well as future career). Can't imagine the difficulty in making this sort of decision when every big program is kissing your "a" and wanting you.
