All in fun between these two who would you choose as pg based on their career at UNC. I'm going with Lawson.

Lawson is hands down my favorite tar heel ever. I'll never forget Freshman year at Dook, he get's an and1 then screams into the camera. Also, his last game at dook, after the win he look at the crazies and yell F**K Y'ALL! 5-0 VS DOOK.

Ty is one of my all time favs too.

Ty vs Joel would be too tough to choose from.

I could be mistaken, but I think statistically speaking---Ty is the greatest Tarheel point guard ever.

Almost like choosing between kids.

I go Ray just because he worked his absolute tail off from Soph to Jr season to develop that jump shot which was the reason we won in 2005. I see a ton of similarities between him and JB. Hopefully their junior seasons end the same way.

Loved Ray but then Ty came around and was a straight monster. Have to go with Ty by a slight margin.

If he would have went hard in the NBA and stopped all the drinking nonsense, he could have been good regardless of being undersized.

Ty Lawson is by far the fastest player I've ever seen with the ball in his hands on a basketball court.

Lawson by a decent margin. Felton was great but never was a take over the game type player. Lawson was unstoppable in that tournament run and at many other points during his career when he put the team on his back.

Luckily, Phil Ford is the greatest PG to play at UNC, so I get to duck this question, lol!

Love me some Rey Rey, but Ty was a special talent! I'll take either please and win it all!

Lawson was the more dangerous player but I'd take Felton over him every day of the week. He's more of a leader and team oriented guy. That's not to say that Lawson was a bad guy because he wasn't. But Felton was a warrior. He had to be. He wasn't as gifted as Lawson.

Ty and there is no comparison!

Ty could score anytime he wanted to and there was nothing the other team could do about it!

Ty has a bench warrant our for him because of 3 failed alcohol tests. Geez this dude is so talented but drinking himself out of the league.

Both were great and rank among UNC's all time leaders in points, assists, and steals.

Points:
Lawson: 1,375(36th)
Felton: 1,260(48th)

Assists:
Felton: 698(4th)
Lawson: 608(7th)

Steals:
Felton: 192(6th)
Lawson: 184(8th)

Hard call to make. My favorite? Easy Ed.

Cota:
1,261 points(47th)
1,030 assists(1st)
192 steals(5th)
517 rebounds(45th)

We've never had another guard that possessed the quickness, ball handling, court vision, and passing ability that Easy Ed had. Those were easily my favorite UNC teams to watch. Still can't believe they never won it all. They were loaded with talent.

The Cota Floata was unstoppable! And he probably invented the so called pocket pass!

What this reveals is that UNC has been blessed with some of the best PGs in bball history!

Ford
Phelps
Black
Rice
Cota
Felton
Lawson
Marshall
Paige
JB!

This is not even a comprehensive list and it still gives me goosebumps!
