Never tried that trick. I did get a blowjob in a theater during a movie one time. That was enjoyable.
ETA: Not at an adult theater. Just a regular theater.

This made me think of growing up (especially high school, and summers home from college) - we had "drive-in" theaters.
Long gone now....but you'd watch movies from your car on a big screen, or from tailgate or bed of a pickup truck, with a side speaker (or eventually turn your radio to a frequency for audio).
(I had to describe it because I don't know if / when they had drive-in theaters everywhere.)
For reasons the OP mentioned, and just overall great place to get together / party with high school and college friends, those movies were some of the best times of growing up. I don't really recall any movie I saw there. But I do recall a lot of good times with the drive-in theater as the location.
