The cable/internet/phone companies like AT&T, Comcast and Verizon are running the biggest racket around. I agree they shouldn't be able to "control the internet".
Too bad we don't have free market capitalism in regards to cable/internet. Government regulations keep those 3 behemoths in power.

Government regulations prevent them from controlling the internet. The only thing stopping them is the law against it. Are you serious with the "free market capitalism" shite right now?...
I agree with the net neutrality regulations you're referring to. Separately, I'm noting that the reason the broadband providers have monopolies, and are price gouging as much as they are - are also due to [different] government help.

Yes, exactly. And even more so - the regional monopolies that the government allows because they get paid by the cable companies' lobbyists.
