Looking at comments from Kap, and various other sites, i've come away with these impressions:

- RJ Prince - great physically for the role, but not consistent with his playmaking (i assume this is playbook, reads or execution of technique)

- Tommy Hatton - not athletic or very strong, but really hard-working, great attitude and toughness

- Brad Henson - also not overly athletic or strong, maybe not as nasty or driven attitude-wise compared to Hatton.

It sounds like Hatton is starting to separate himself, but this might be just his extra toughness that is making him more attractive rather than physical ability.

Obviously you want a road-grader that is also mobile enough to pull around, but THIS yr I think execution and minimizing mistakes is important given how solid the rest of the line is.

Next yr's Center and Guard might be interesting again.

- Henson and Prince will be 5th yr seniors next yr assuming neither graduates this yr. There were rumors that Prince put out tweets that indicated he was unhappy with PT or something quitting-related (i really don't know).

- Aren't Centers supposed to be pretty athletic? I wonder if we still like Hatton there. Pre-enrollment coaches told McCargo they wanted to try him at Center.

- If Hatton moves to Center, I guess we'll be looking at Henson & Prince again. If Hatton stays, I wonder if it'll be Henson at Center or someone else.

Hatton is the real deal. He likely to getting the nod to start at RG this year. Whether he moves to C for next year depends on several things. Henson is quite versatile, and could see a lot of action this at C and G even if nobody gets hurt. So Henson could start at either next year.

Prince may be another physical specimen who never quite gets to the point many assumed he could reach. My guess is that during this season, a couple of younger guys are going to push him hard and may well pass him without any doubt.

But here is the what I would be telling Prince if I had his ear: the team losing almost an entire OL this year. If you keep your head in the game and your mouth shut, and your social media nothing but positive, and you work hard, you could have a chance to move way up for next year.

Yep, it's sounding more and more like Kap is going to start Hatton at RG.

"Offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Chris Kapilovic has employed a set rotation since training camp opened two weeks ago to determine Landon Turner’s replacement on the right side. When Hatton takes snaps with the ones at right guard, junior Brad Henson works at center with the twos, and vice versa. It’s been a daily cycle designed to build depth at both positions while junior R.J. Prince also takes snaps with the twos at right guard.

That rotation, however, has been tweaked a bit this week. “In meetings, [Kap] will be like, ‘Tommy, you’re going at center,’ or ‘Tommy, you’re going with the ones at guard,’” Hatton said on Thursday. “That’s pretty much it, but the past few days, he’s just been like, ‘stay with the ones,’ so I’m like, ‘alright, I’ll stay with the ones.’ That’s okay with me.”

I think Hatton is going to be a very good player for us as early as this year. While not as athletic as some, his work ethic and versatility separate him from most.
