The guy could really play guitar, too. A very underrated guitar player, and an even better songwriter.

not only that, and he was amazing on guitar, but he played 27 instruments...i just started appreciating his music about ten years ago...i probably watch the solo from the rrhof once a week.

i've also heard & read stories about him as a musician that are incredible...dave grohl has a great story about their jam session a few years back...it makes you really appreciate talent and how successful and talented musicians like grohl are even humbled...long story short, he played the drums for three hours with grohl the same day as a show at the forum...grohl left saying; "prince is an amazing drummer."

Been a fan since his first album back in 78-79 time frame. Have 7 vinyl albums of his, 5 others on CD. His Royal Badness!!!!! He and Jimmy are jamming tonight on the night shift............ RIP

I couldn't name you three Prince songs.

If someone asked me last week to name 1 I wouldn't have been able to do it. Now that he died I've heard/seen people mention titles so I could do it now. But I've gone through and listened to a lot of them to see if I recognized them (I'm the king of not recognizing the artist or title of a song, but when I hear it, being like - oh ya I've heard this a thousand times). I've heard 1999 and When Doves Cry before (but again, didn't know the titles or that they were Prince songs until now). Never heard The Little Red Corvette, Purple Rain, or probably any of his other songs.

Nonetheless, RIP.
