The greatest mind of the 21st century has died. This is a sad day for science and human progress.

Does any of the following sound familiar?

Horseshit. This man spent his life campaigning against creation. The world is unquestionably a better place without him.

Now try saying that with a straight face.

I'm guessing you are being sarcastic, but about 3/4 of Americans believe in some form of creation.

Well...most believe in a God guided process of evolution that is backed by science telling us "yeah, this timeline makes sense".

I, too, believe that.

I personally was referring to creation as the theory that one day we weren't here, then one day we were. That number is only like 25%. And reminder:

The idea that some intelligent designer was "guiding" evolution is pretty retarded too.

Apparently god is a shitty engineer.

I think Hawking would be honored by a thread that calls organized religion into question.
Maybe, but no one is really calling anything into question here. It's mostly just people insulting each other. He would probably prefer a reasonable debate instead of two year olds arguing in a sandbox. He would definitely be honored for being remembered by his TV cameos though.

First i’m agnostic. Idgaf whether its creation or evolution. BUT if i did embrace id i would point out that even in fish the nerve doesnt take a direct route as dawkins implies it does. The animation they displayed showed that. Obviously there is a reason for the circuitous route either by design or evolution. They just dont know what it is yet.
